A question from a YouTube Subcriber

I did a tarot asking. .if I perform separation spell on a couple what would be the out come for the couple….I got the three of swords!… so that means my spell would definitely work.! I asked 3 times just to be certain…and pulled it again 3 times!… [SIC]

Heavens weep for the death of love – Under grey skies in the pouring rain 3 swords pierce a heart.

The short answer is probably yes – the 3 of swords indicates that the spell you cast will work. The 3 of Swords represents separation, betrayal, heartbreak, rejection, loneliness and sadness. All of these traits are ones which you’d find on the road towards separation.

Some exceptions to this could be if the card’s in reverse, or in a position not attributed to the couple or that the couple managed to navigate their way out of the negative place.  If it’s in reverse, it means that the separation, betrayal, heartbreak etc. is in the past but unresolved. If it’s in an unusual position, one that can be attributed to the past, the querent (you) or obstacles, it may not be related to the spell that was cast. Lastly, while it indicates difficulties in the couple’s relationship, they could manage to work their way through it.

What I’m saying is that one card, this card, in isolation is possible maybe even probable, but not definitively indicative of the end of the relationship. It would really depend on where it sat in a larger reading.

Hope this helps,
