Ritual for Creating and Seating a Vessel Familiar
This is a practical method for building a familiar as a working spirit and seating it in a physical vessel. It assumes you already have basic control of attention, the ability to raise and direct energy, and a clear purpose for the familiar.
What you need
- A vessel (doll, bottle, statue, box, or other object chosen for this purpose)
- A candle
- Incense if desired
- A small offering (this can be smoke, a drop of your blood, oil, food, or anything appropriate to the work)

Preparation

Remain with the vessel until the presence feels settled rather than restless.
Closing the creation session
Thank the spirit for taking its seat. Extinguish the candle. Place the vessel in the location where it will live (altar, dedicated space, or secure place).
Record the name, purpose, limits, and date of creation.
Ongoing maintenance
Feed the familiar regularly according to the level of work you expect from it. Give clear tasks. When a task is finished, call it back to the vessel. Signs the familiar has taken seat properly
