How to use it
Light one stick in a heat safe holder. Let the first minute of smoke go through the space.
If you are making an offering, set it by the Lucifer candle or the oleum and leave it to burn down.
If you are dressing a candle, light the stick first, then the candle.
Process
Most of the incense people pick up in a shop begins as an unscented stick that is run through perfume and solvent in large batches so it can be counted, bagged, and shipped while the wrapper still smells expensive.
That is why so many packs hit you hard when you open them and then disappear the moment they are lit.
These are made the other way.
The scent is mixed here for Lucifer first, the way an offering is mixed, and when it is ready the unscented sticks are set into that blend and left there through a full day and a full night so the scent has time to move into the stick instead of drying on the surface.
After that they come out and rest in this house until they will burn from end to end, and we light one from the batch and watch the whole stick before anything is wrapped.
If it will not stay lit, or if the smoke is wrong, they are not done.
 That is the whole difference: the scent is made for him, the sticks are given time to take it in, and nothing leaves this house until we have burned one and are satisfied with it.
