Asmodeus and Gambling

Asmodeus (also Asmoday or Ashmedai) has a long-standing traditional link to gambling.

Older demonological sources, including Johann Weyer, describe him as the overseer of the gambling houses of Hell. This association has carried into modern occult practice, where he is sometimes called upon for luck in games of chance, cards, dice, casinos, and lottery work.

He is not primarily a “money” spirit in the same way as Clauneck or Bune. His current is more closely tied to desire, risk, appetite, and the charged atmosphere of gambling itself.

Practitioners who work with him for this purpose often describe the results as coming through heightened boldness, sharper timing, or a temporary tilt in chance rather than steady financial increase.

Purpose:

To open awareness to favourable numbers, better timing, or opportunities that might otherwise be missed. Volac is traditionally linked to discovering hidden things and revealing what is useful.

You will need:

• A candle (black, green, or white)
• Volac’s sigil (drawn on paper)
• A small offering (a coin, a little whiskey, or incense)
• A piece of paper and pen

Steps:

1. Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed.
2. Place Volac’s sigil in front of you and light the candle.
3. On the paper, write a clear and specific request. Examples:
   • “Show me the numbers that are favourable for me.”
