Choose your candle type according to the spell purpose
If your candle choice is wrong, the candle may tell you by not lighting or giving you a negative sign during burning
Candle Must be new
Candles used for magic should always be virgin (unused) at the start of the working, unless you have deliberately cleared them of past influences.
Using candles that have been previously lit can have a detrimental effect on your spell. They may have picked up influences from previous use.
Candle Preparation/Dressing
Use oils to dress the candles by finding one that coincides with the spell you want to perform. Rub the candle with the oils.
You may roll the candle in herbs that also will help with the type of spell you wish to perform.
When inscribing a candle, use the same directional procedure. To bring things toward you, write from the top to the middle, then from the bottom to the middle. If you are repelling something, reverse the procedure.
Speak words of power over the candle such as: “I cleanse and consecrate this taper in the name of the God and Goddess. May it burn in strength in the service of light.
Continue by stating the purpose of the candle.

When anointing candles for altar use, anoint from the middle to the top and from the middle to the bottom to signify the union of spiritual and physical realms.
Burn multiple candles
Be ready to burn multiple candles, especially if using 7-day jar candles for your spell work. If you receive messages during the burn, you will need another candle to take immediate action.
Even if your spell is going well, try lighting another candle to keep this going and to bring you stronger results.
Extinguishing a flame:
This can Only be Done with Prosperity Candles. Use your thumb and index finger to put out the wick, or use a candle snuffer, a plate, — magical or spiritual candles are never blown out.
DO NOT extinguish the flame on Candles to Harm, Dominate, or Reverse, as the Spell will not Work Again. It is also said that the Person is Now Aware of Your Attempt to Attack Them (if they are a spiritual worker).
Disposal of Candle Wax:
If the formula you are using dictates the proper disposal of wax remains, follow the instructions. If not, when the spell is of a positive nature discreetly bury the remains in your yard. If you don’t have a yard wrap in a white paper napkin and place in the trash receptacle. If the spell is of a negative nature take the remains away from where you or people you love reside in addition to your place of employment and bury or throw into a dumpster and do not look back.
