Welcome to Black Witch Coven.

We love that you have a passion for exploring Magick.

At Black Witch Coven we welcome everybody because we truly believe Magick is a lifelong journey of discovery. We do not try to dictate who you should be or where you should stand on that path.

The path itself contains many branches and smaller roads. Some people are drawn to the quiet work of the moon and the tides. Others find their way through crystals, herbs, folk practices, or the older currents of spirit contact. Some eventually feel called toward Black Magick and the work of demons. Some of us incorporate religion with our magical practices, and for others, magic is just a skill to supplement their daily lives. All of these are valid directions. Your exploration belongs to you.

With that understanding we offer this structure: a magical journey measured by actual skill rather than by labels, aesthetics, or how dramatic the work looks from the outside.

These pages have been rewritten, tested, and refined over the past fifteen plus years. They exist to give someone who is genuinely interested a pathway that is practical and useful for their own exploration instead of leaving them circling in theory, fantasy, or borrowed ideas.

Many people arrive here because of our name and assume we deal only in demons or Black Magick. Others come because a film or a story made the idea of power look immediate and exciting. We are not trying to talk anyone out of those interests. If that current calls you, the door remains open. What we will say plainly is this: without certain foundational skills the work is both more dangerous than most people expect and far more disappointing. You can want the result with complete sincerity and still achieve very little if you cannot yet sense energy, hold a steady intention, protect yourself, or recognise real feedback when it appears. These pages exist to give you those skills first so that whatever direction you later choose rests on something solid.

Magick does not begin with demons, tools, or aesthetics. It begins with the ability to notice energy, hold intention, protect yourself, and see results clearly.

Master these foundations and you will have something real to build on, no matter which direction you later choose. Skip them and most of what follows will remain fantasy.

A large number of people also arrive with one clear request: they simply want to know how to cast a spell. They have no established practice and no attachment to any particular system. They just want to try. That desire is understandable. The difficulty is that most people who jump straight to a spell without any foundation end up disappointed. They follow a set of steps, feel a brief sense of hope, and then nothing noticeable happens. Or something small occurs and they cannot tell whether it was the work or ordinary chance. Without the ability to sense energy, hold a steady intention, protect themselves, and recognise real feedback, the spell remains an empty outline.

These pages exist to give you the skills that turn an outline into actual practice. Once those skills are present, casting a spell becomes straightforward. Until they are present, most attempts stay in the realm of wishful thinking.

What You Need to Build

1. Sensing and Moving Energy

Most beginners begin by imagining energy rather than feeling it. The first real task is learning the difference. Spend time with simple physical practices: rubbing the hands together, holding them a short distance apart, and noticing changes in temperature, pressure, or density. Learn what the absence of sensation actually feels like so you can recognise when something subtle but genuine is present. Until you can tell the difference between nothing and a real current moving through the body or the hands, every later technique rests on guesswork.

2. Holding a Clear Intention

A working requires one clean intention held steady for the length of time the work needs. Many people scatter their will across several desires at once or lose the thread after a few moments. Practice forming a single, precise statement of what you are doing and keeping your attention on it without drifting into hope, fear, or secondary wishes. The ability to hold intention is what turns a ritual from performance into an act of will.

3. Focus and Concentration

Belief in Magick is not a feeling that arrives fully formed. It is built through repeated acts of focused attention. Short, consistent drills are more useful than occasional dramatic effort. Sit with a simple object or a single word and return your mind to it each time it wanders. Over time the mind learns that it can stay. Without this capacity most people half-attend their workings and then wonder why nothing moves.

4. Protection and Re-centering

You need one protection method simple enough to use anywhere and one reliable way to centre and ground yourself when you feel scattered or unsettled. These do not need to be elaborate. A short spoken formula, a gesture, or a brief visualisation that you have tested and trust is enough. The point is that you can restore your own balance on demand rather than remaining open or destabilised after a working.

5. Observing Results

Learning to see what actually happened is harder than most people expect. Some notice nothing and conclude the work failed. Others invent meaning out of ordinary coincidence. Develop the habit of watching for small, concrete shifts in circumstance, mood, timing, or opportunity over the days that follow a working. Clear observation is a skill that improves with honest practice.

6. Simple Record-Keeping

Keep a basic written record of the date, the intention, what you actually did, and what occurred afterward. The purpose is not beautiful journaling. It is pattern recognition. Over weeks and months the notes reveal what tends to work for you, what tends to fail, and where your attention is still weak. Without records most people repeat the same mistakes while believing they are progressing.

7. Basic Correspondences

Correspondences are the practical language of the craft. Learn the elemental qualities, simple planetary influences, colours, and the basic timing of the moon at a level you can actually use. This knowledge stops random combinations and gives structure to the choices you make. You do not need an encyclopedic memory. You need enough working familiarity to choose deliberately rather than by guesswork.

8. Timing and Simple Divination

Develop a basic sense of timing, beginning with the phase of the moon. Add one reliable yes-or-no method such as the pendulum and use it as a practical checker rather than a source of entertainment. Divination at this stage is a tool for clarifying whether a proposed working is well-formed or whether the moment is suitable. It is not fortune-telling.

9. Respectful Spirit Communication

Practice speaking to a spirit, or even to the idea of one, with clarity and ordinary respect. State who you are, what you are asking, and what you are offering in return, then leave space for a reply even when none is felt. This habit prevents the common error of treating spirits as props or as automatic dispensers of results. It also prepares the ground for deeper contact if you later feel drawn in that direction.

These skills are not owned by any single path. They apply whether you work with the moon, crystals, herbs, ancestors, or later choose to work with demons. We do not push a direction. We only insist that the foundation is real.

These nine skills form the real beginning. When you can do them with reasonable consistency you are no longer only interested in Magick. You are practising it. From this point the path remains open. You may stay with lunar work, crystals, folk methods, or any quieter current for as long as it serves you. You may later step toward spirit contact or Black Magick if that call becomes genuine.

Move at your own pace, in the direction that actually answers, without pressure and without judgement.

Hi BWS , greetings to you guys , I wanted to ask you about a term which is getting so viral in india “Vashikaran” they said it is some form of black magic by which a person can make somebody else their puppet like they will do whatever the person who practice this says , Is this type of black magic really exists? If yes how can i learn this , from where . In india stories are getting viral of this “Vashikaran” i try to explain one of these stories to you so that you can understand what am i saying and reply me , that there’s a boy desired a girl who doesn’t liked him back so what he did , is do some kind of black magic and after sometime she started to behave like that boy is her everything . If you know something about this kind of magic it’ll be my pleasure to be guide by you

    • BWS says:

Greetings – yes this type of magic appears across multiple magical systems – from Africa to India. In fact, it is the foundation of the modern “voodoo doll”. Even the Satanic Bible uses a doll in the image of the target to curse – but not control. In our mind control rituals, sometimes we create a doll, sometimes we don’t, and that will depend on how close of the connection we can get with the target. No we do not teach this and we do not write about it on the website because we have been around for nearly 20 years and during that time we have had our website band, deleted by our hosting company, and penalized by Google in various ways because of specific content. If you’re beginning, you would just create a black doll of the target, summon a Demon to enchant the doll/target – and practice practice practice.

Begin by strengthening your mind. Shadow work is extremely important if you want to master black magick, so this is important for you to research. Also begin with the basics. There’s lots of YouTube content for free on strengthening your aura and chakras. Bullying takes a hit your self-confidence so this is more about strengthening your emotional self and believing in yourself so the opinions of others start to not be of your concern

      • powermind200 says:

thankyou for ur answer , if possible could you please recommend me some youtube videos that i can watch for strengthening my aura and chakra as i don’t know whether the video i watch teach that right or if something better out there but you can tell what this person or in this video they are teaching is correct and might be the one i should watch, Thankyou again for giving me your time

I live in a christian household and i have been practicing and meditating for a few years in secret. i came to witchcraft because of pop culture and other stuff, but now diving deep into withcraft and the path i chose, i discovered that it is more than casting spells or rituals, it is about building yourself and taking control of my own destiny and creating a better life for myself.

I had a question about your timeline for learning disciplines. At what point would you suggest one starts learning curses, hexes, and magic to harm another.

A little background, I’ve been a mostly dabbler level practitioner with frequent bout of dedicated practice for some 20+ years, it’s only since the pandemic that I’ve been making a committed and disciplined approach to my craft. I have a pretty good grasp of protection, energy work, and chaos magick. Recently, I’ve been feeling drawn to Thelema and intend to deep dive that and it’s qabalistic, raja yoga, tantric aspects.

Suffice to say my plates full for the next year but I think attack spells are an important thing to learn. When would you suggest adding them into one’s magical education and when?

  5. GreekoItaliano says:

Hi! I’m new here myself. I’m mainly learning the art of Black and Baneful magick for defensive purposes, just in case I ever need to. I definitely agree that hexes and curses should only be used as a last resort.

  6. Revenge1996 says:

I am angry and I want revenge – I will do whatever it takes.
I want to learn black magic, hexes and curses – I want to make her suffer.

She tried to steal my boyfriend once and she is trying again – I won’t let that happen.
I don’t care if inflicts pain on me – I just want her to suffer

    Advice on this?

  7. NewOne says:

Ive been waiting for Lucifer to send a signal or sign so I can step forward but he never showed up in my mind, my dreams or anywhere and Im just onfused trying to figure out these giant questions myself, because everybody says I should contact Lucifer before contacting any other Demons. I mean why doesnt he come to my dreams and talk to me? I made an altar, offered blood, time etc to show respect and dedication but it seems Im talking to myself. Its makes me disappointed sometimes.
    SIGH

  8. NewOne says:

TBH the first time I read about Goetia Demons I was like “Fuck, this is it” but now Im so confused about magic like all these third eye, energy, chakra, planetary etc. … I just wanna talk to Lucifer about everything and u know I want to learn from himself. Im sick of reading books telling me about religions and hell and angels like im sick of those things. If I wanted to hear about them well religions just talk about them 24/7. I am here to experience the TRUE REAL BEYOND RELATIONSHIP.
So is there any simple way to contact Lucifer without solomon shit or religious crap way to tell me what to do?

    Blessed Be

  9. NewOne says:

    Hey,
I meditated by the sigil of Lucifer with blue and red candles for 10 days and then I prepared an altar for him. Actually the paper with his sigil on it is a mess now with candle remains, my blood etc and I offered fruits and few more things like burning copal but idk when to remove the remains of the offerings and how to do so.
Can anyone help me to learn about this pleaseee?

do you have any recommendations as to any other websites or apps that i can use to help me learn more? i am new to this. and my whole family is christian. so that poses a problem. blessed be

    • BWS says:

      Hi Oliver,

This page was designed to demonstrate the various types of practices. As there are SO many, you should focus on one path at a time. Therefore, I recommend you buy a book on learning magic, and decided if this style of magic gels with you. For example, to learn High Magick “Modern Magick” by Donald Kraig; For Sex Magic “Modern Sex Magic“; Mastering Witchcraft: A Practical Guide for Witches, Warlocks, and Covens by Paul Hudson. I hope these few recommendations help, and there are many more links on the page.

I know I am sensitive but I feel I’ve lost my way with my energy and I wish to get back in touch with it if someone could contact me and help me with this and tell me what I could do that would be greatly appreciated

  12. Avery Taylor says:

I have a question that seems to confuse me a bit. If I want to be witch free to practice any kind of magick and call upon any gods/goddesses needed (although specializing in the darker crafts) does this make me a solitary witch/chaos magician?

    • BWS says:

Hi Avery. I totally understand the need to classify yourself for the purposes of identity within the world, the witchcraft community, (and perhaps yourself). However, if you are chaos magician, who enjoys witchcraft, and perhaps even demonology, there is no one term. I fall within the same basket of not knowing how to classify myself within the craft. Many years ago, coven members would jokingly classify me as A “Black witch” so that term has stuck over the years. If I was pushed into a corner and made to say what I am, I would simply say that I am an Occultist – as occultism being the study of a deeper spiritual reality that extends beyond pure reason and the physical sciences. I think that covers what I do quite neatly.
Let me know what term you end up using!
      Blessed beast!

I wish to practice voodoo and a ritual involving lighting a bonfire by the sea alone or in the woods and how to cast s circle , what to start and how to end the ritual.

      • Anonymous says:

Maybe you should pick up a book on Wicca for what you wish to learn is all in there my friend. Are you aware of your spirit guides, do you listen to what they want you to know. do you have a quick technique of defense in case something rotten shows up. likes feeding off your vibrations. it can be as simple as a prayer to reinforce your libstraight into the grey, it’s takes much more than knowing how to cast circles, less a dabbler don’t mind opening a lifetime of sorrow. Are you familiar with the term “Now dawn the age of the innocent ones.” I have a strong sense you should search for Indigo children. Not really a path, no doctrine to follow . More of a generational awakening, a race within our race. You hear the call and rise eagerly to answer, they are the polar reaction to centuries of trauma done to the earth by greed men.

      • dedmond979 says:

you dont just go to the beach to practice voodoo, you must have a mambo or hougan, be initiated and taught. first find your path, learn it then practice on a beach or in the woods

  13. Angel Juliano says:

I am new to black magick. I am younger than most here. Not 12. Nor 20. But, I am not sure where I should start. I’d love to learn more. Ive been learning a lot about many things the past year. I know there is so much more to know! Where do I start? Anyone you could reference me to? Or perhaps a book? Thank you, blessed be.

    • BWS says:

      Greetings Angel,

I am guessing that you know my feelings about teenagers and black magic. I’m not here to judge your desire, because I do not know your path to this point in time. However I do question the rush to enter into a very complex area occultism, without building a solid foundation of spiritual practice. To break it down simply, in order to be a successful Black witch, choas magician, or other left hand path practitioner, you must learn the foundations of visualization – focused awareness. To do this one really has to understand the art of certain meditation practices. My own book spiritual welfare, is a six month journey of visualisation and meditation exercises. This is a good place for the beginner to start, so you can feel comfortable with these concepts, and also with beginning to touch out to the Darkside. As you’re under 18, I would not accept you into the working Demons course. However once you hit 18, and I feel you are not doing the course just to solve a single issue, and Then I recommend you do take the course – as you will get the results are looking for!

Please excuse me for making so many comments, but I’d love a comment about an experience. Last night I was watching a video listing signs you may be under attack by a demon& some where having a lot of sexual dreams & dreams encountering demons also ones of violence, I have these dreams I even had them last night.while I was watching the video I felt a little strange oppressing energy,I thought a demon may be causing the uncomfortable feeling. I called the name of Astaroth & asked him to get the other spirit to let me be. I have never formally summoned Astaroth but have talked to him respectfully for a couple of years asking for help withsituations & for knowledge. What do you think of this?

    • BWS says:

Magic Man, you are welcome to post as often as you’d like to, we love it!! It ‘sounds like’ you were having a psychic attack. You are obviously gaining skills and are well on your way to mastery. Don’t forget to protect yourself though, even ninjas use armour.
Are you taking our working with demons course?

  16. magic man says:

I also want to thank you for sharing your videos.I go with my inner feelings & sinces lot in life & their usually correct & I feel like you are a skilled spellcaster, I hope to be skilled also, I don’t know any witches do you know how I could meet one?

  17. magic man says:

I’m trying to get$$ for books, spell ingredients, lessons or whatever I need, I watch a lot of bws videos & serpent key videos. In the Claunek $$ spell video can the load stone be replaced with a magnet if it represents the same symbolism in my head? & could I just use cooking oil for the oil?

Growing up i used to see witches, i once saw a short thing open a door for that witch since they can walk through walls and doors, a couple of years later i heard a deep voice calling me over i was sleeping, i was scared but as years went down the line something kept on telling me that maybe that scary thing wanted to help me in a way, i was raised from the right hand path but now i want to be a part of the left hand path i tried to make a pact with Bune, i don’t know if i did everything correctly or not please advice ,and yes i am ready and yes i am not going back once I’ve joined the left hand path.

I want to learn everything I can about being a black witch, but my family is super Christian and I can’t download or purchase my own books or crystals, candles etc. I need a teacher or coven that could train me and teach me the ways. Where should I start looking?

    • BWS says:

You’re not the only one in this situation Luke. It may comfort you to hear that this is quite common for people interested in the left hand path. Sadly, bigotry is everywhere. But where there is a will there’s a way, literally. We offer online courses and have many free videos on youtube if that suits you, or you can try and find a coven near you.
      Good luck Luke

You stated, that you where in contact with an Indian goddess, prior in life. Do demons, Angels, Eyptian gods and goddess, Indian gods, etc., all exist on the same plane? Is this just a labeling system to harness certain forms of energy? If a spirtual dimension exist (which I believe does), how are atheistic witches successful? Thanks!

Hello! I came across this site after watching a few videos on YouTube by the Black Witch Samantha. All of which are very eye opening and empowering. I have been practicing witchcraft as a solitary witch for close to 10 years now, have made a personal connection to my Goddess,NYX, and have done a few spells (white). However, I am deeply interested in the other spectrum of magick, in particular demons and contacting them. If someone here could contact me regarding this as I would like to proceed sooner than later, it would be very much appreciated.

    Blessed be.
