Healing Oil

This is the oil we reach for when something needs to mend.

Not a jinx. Not a person who will not leave. The body after a hit. The nerves after a long siege. The spirit after grief, surgery, a crossing, or a season that ate you.

Healing Oil is a BWC condition oil built for recovery  to dress the work of getting well, not to replace a doctor.

Key plant: rosemary. That is the recovery herb. It is what tells strength to come back. The rest of the bottle is built around it: lavender to quiet pain and nerves, frankincense to seal and knit, eucalyptus to open the chest and the sickroom air. Batches vary. We do not print the full recipe.

The correspondence behind this blend is Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine. You do not have to work with him. The oil still works if you do not name him. If you do, that is the current we built it on.

The scent is medicinal-clean, not cosmetic. Rosemary, resin, a little camphor-lift. Some batches smell like a sickroom that is finally being aired. That is the point.

What it is for

How it is different from the other bottles

If the sickness started after a crossed condition, uncross first. Then heal. Do not dress a healing candle while you are still wearing someone else’s work.

How to use it

Temples.
A thin smear at the temples of the person who is down, morning and night, until the turn comes. This is the old BWC application. Patch-test first. Do not put it on broken skin, eyes, or mucous membranes.

Blue or white candle.
Carve the name, or “this body,” or “this recovery.” Dress base to wick, drawing the oil toward you — the opposite of banishing. Blue for healing current. White for clean restoration. Red if you need vitality and blood-strength back, not just comfort. Petition under the candle: the name, the condition, a cross of oil. Burn on the waxing moon if you can wait. Sunday if you work the sun for life-force.

Bath.
A few drops in salt first, then into the water. Wash toward the heart if you are calling strength in. Air-dry. This is support work, not a cure.

Cloth.
A drop on a clean cloth over the chest, the joints, or the place that hurts — on the fabric, not poured into a wound.

Petitions and mojos.
Name on paper. Oil in a cross. Fold toward you. Keep it with the candle or in a healing bag with rosemary and a white cloth. Feed the bag once a week until the job turns.

House.
A wipe on the sickroom doorframe and the bedposts when the person is back on their feet and the room still feels like illness lives there.

Timing.
Waxing moon to build strength. Sunday for vitality. You can still dress the temples on a bad night. Do not wait on the calendar if someone is down now.

How to charge it

Hold it at the brow or over the place that hurts. Put the job into it — the name, the illness or the grief, “mend.” Morning sun is enough. A night on the altar is enough. Do not cook it on a radiator; heat thins the blend.

What this oil is not

This is not medicine. It will not replace a physician, a prescription, a diagnosis, or rest. If someone needs a doctor, they need a doctor. The oil dresses the spiritual side of recovery. It does not set bones, kill infection, or treat disease.

It will not uncross you. If the body broke after a jinx, hex, or lingering work, use Jinx Removing first.

Patch-test. External use only. Keep away from eyes, mouth, genitals, children, and pets’ faces. Do not ingest. If a batch feels hot on the skin, dilute it in a plain carrier or put it in the bath instead of wearing it.

Larger bottles are discounted. The 4 oz is the best per-ounce price if you are working a sickroom or a long recovery.
