Palmistry is divided into two branches.
Chirognomy : It is the study of shape of hand. The mounts, texture, quality and length of hand and fingers indicate the basic instincts, nature and temperament of Person.
Chiromancy : It is the study of lines of our hand which reveal the past, present and future of the person.
It is a belief that the current of life enters the human body through the Index finger (First Finger). It marks the line of heart of the palm and then the line of head and finally the line of life. After reaching the wrist on its return journey it makes the line of Sun, the line of Saturn and the line of Mercury.
The palm of a person has a close and direct relation with his brain. 25% portion of our brain is represented on our hand from wrist to fingertip.
Fingers connect the human body with the outside world. They work as a transmitter to spread the electrical currents or thoughts of our mind generated in the brain to the environment. In the same way fingers also work as receivers of electrical signals from the environment to the brain.
