Every witch and occultist has their preferred magical practice or routine. Typically, we focus more on one area of magic that aligns with our personality or the situation we are facing at that time. But today I want to talk about luck spells and magic to increase your luck. And if you’re not folding luck magic into your magical practices or routine, it is something you really need to consider and I’ll tell you why.
I will also walk you through various styles of luck magic from traditional witchcraft, to black magic. Each system has a slightly different way of creating the energy, with different tools and different rituals employed within each method. With the exception of Kabbalah, I really love performing all other methods of luck magic. The only reason why I don’t perform Kabbalah luck magic is because I’m not fully trained in the area of Kabbalah, and as you may know, my system of magic leans heavily towards daemonic beings and not angelic beings. Still, we offer Kabbalah here on Black Witch Coven, because some of our practitioners are coming from various magical systems, and as we have all been practicing magic for decades, some of us prefer to perform spells in the methods we have mastered.
Balanced Routine
I started my discussion talking about having a balanced routine. Most of us have a preference of tackling one area of magic. Maybe your comfort level is within money magic or love magic. Maybe you’re having a spellcaster constantly work on these areas for you, or maybe you’re doing magic on these areas yourself. And that is perfectly fine, especially if you’re not that interested in the world of magic and witchcraft. But if you are, and if your goal is to use the benefits of magic in your every day life, you should think of a magical plan or system that tackles various potential and actual problems which will occur throughout the year.
Becoming strategic with your magic is a key to your success. Often, people will wait until the last minute or until something happens before they will order a spell. That’s understandable if you’re coming to us with a problem such as you’re under attack, or somebody has a health problem you want to help with, or if your partner has done something shady and you want to deal with it in a magical manner. Other areas should be thought about strategically, especially when it comes to protection, petitioning for your health and your abundance, and also to bring luck into your life, and to petition that frequency on a regular basis.
How regular? Will depend on you and your circumstances in your life. Perhaps you only have to do it once a year, or maybe if you’re going through a tough period you do it once every three months. If you’re practising your magic you need to be doing it on a weekly basis. You have to train like a Jedi!
Black Magic for Increased Luck
If you’re on this website, I will guess that you are interested in the dark arts either as a curiosity or as a practitioner of some kind. I have to remain mindful that perhaps many people believe black magic is the strongest, because we are connecting with certain spirits and entities who can take advantage of those who are not energetically in control of their bodies and minds. So black magic isn’t necessarily more difficult, but you just need to be experienced in understanding the difference between your own energy and the energy of another entity. You also have to ensure that your magical practices are not conflicting with your other religious beliefs or you could be prone to attack.
In Black Witch Coven, we have a standard procedure from our book of shadows on how we conduct a luck ritual. You’re probably wondering what that specific spell is, but when you become a master in black magic, you will already understand your strengths and weaknesses and have your own tailored Ritual for conducting your spells. So it is really quite useless for me to share exactly what I do, because it is my own modified Ritual for connecting with the spiritual world. Then, when I work with each client, the spell is slightly tailored with consideration to their unique circumstance or challenge. Still, I will give you an example of a Ritual for you to begin your journey and modify according to your own connection with certain elements and certain spirits.

Ritual for Summoning a Demon for Luck
The demon Bune is commonly summoned when I’m looking to do work around money and specifically luck. Bune is associated with wealth and good fortune, making him an ideal choice for this ritual.
What You’ll Need:
- Black or green candle (for luck and prosperity)
- A small bowl of salt (for purification)
- A coin (symbolizing wealth)
- A piece of paper and pen (to write your intention)
- Incense (such as patchouli or cinnamon)
- Sigil of Bune
- Offering items: This could include:
- A glass of red wine (to symbolize the blood of life)
- Fresh fruits or sweets (to honor the spirit)
- A small token or charm representing your luck
Ritual Steps:
1. Prepare Your Space
- Choose a quiet, undisturbed area. Cleanse the space with salt water or by burning incense to remove any negative energies.
2. Create Your Altar
- Set up a small altar with the black or green candle in the center. Place the bowl of salt nearby and arrange your offerings in front of the candle.
- The sigil – it could be placed somewhere on the altar where it is visible, or it could be inscribed in the candle itself, or it could be written on the petition paper. This is really up to you
3. Light the Candle
- Light the candle and focus on its flame. Visualize it as a beacon of light that attracts luck and positive energy into your life.
4. Write Your Intention
- On the piece of paper, write a clear and specific intention, such as:
- “I attract good luck and opportunities in all areas of my life.”
- Optional – if you’re comfortable, you may wish to pierce your finger and draw your signature in blood, or provide a drop of your blood on the paper as an offering to the Demon.
- Fold the paper three times and place it beneath the candle.
5. Prepare the Offerings
- ENN: I begin thinking about & enchanting the daemonic ENN of Bune basically throughout the entire preparation.
- Arrange your offerings around the candle. As you place each item, say a few words to honor Bune:
“Bune, I call upon you.
Accept my offerings and bring luck and prosperity into my life.”
6. Invocation
- Stand before the altar, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Focus on your intention and visualize the luck you desire.
- Recite the following invocation (or create your own):
“Bune, mighty spirit of wealth and fortune, I summon you to aid me.
Grant me the luck I seek, and let abundance flow into my life.
By the power of this candle and my intention, I ask for your presence.
Come forth and bless me.”
7. Meditation
- Spend a few moments in meditation, visualizing your life filled with good luck and positive opportunities. Feel the energy of the candle and the offerings as they resonate with your intention.
8. Closing the Ritual
- Thank Bune for his presence and assistance. You might say:
- “Thank you, Bune, for your guidance and support. I will honor our connection.”
- Allow the candle to burn down completely if possible. If you need to extinguish it, do so gently and relight it each day until it burns out.
9. Dispose of Offerings
- Once the ritual is complete, you can either bury the offerings in the ground (to return the energy to the earth) or dispose of them respectfully. Keep the folded paper with your intention in a safe place as a reminder of your spell.
OPTION – try a modified version of this ritual, where you actually released the petition, or transform your petition from the mundane into the magical, by releasing the petition into the flame.

While invoking demons for luck can be a part of your practice, it’s essential to approach this work with respect and clarity of intention. Each demon has unique attributes, so choose the one that aligns best with your specific goals and desires. Demons BWC associates and summons for luck and fortune:

Hoodoo and other folk magic practices are such an indulgence for me. As a black magic practitioner, I don’t need to do folk magic or even witchcraft, but I want to do it. Perhaps it’s because I love playing around with all of the tools involved, I love getting messy, I love nature and the whole process of collecting herbs and then using them in a magical way.
A Hoodoo luck spell can be beneficial in several ways, especially if you’re looking to attract positive energy, opportunities, and overall good fortune into your life. Create a jar for luck and abundance – and each day you shake this jar, petitioning the spiritual world to think of you throughout the day and share its blessings upon you. Candle magic, where you’re starting a jar, candle or a figure candle. Maybe once a week maybe once a month, petitioning for luck to be shared your way. You would also be wearing some talisman that is going to attract luck, because the talisman you’re wearing energetically attracts luck.

Lucky Talisman’s
Throughout most of this post I have shared with you that luck needs to come from multiple sources. Sure you can do one spell, but if you’re only doing one spell then you should also wear some talisman that will draw luck to you organically. You’ll often see me wearing a large ruby ring. Rubies are often associated with protection, passion, and good fortune. My ruby ring has multiple meanings, including my dedication to both Lucifer and Astaroth, however, I also wear it to help me attract luck. Jade is another stone I swear by. From time to time I wear my jade necklace and my Jade bangles. I learnt the importance of Jade while travelling through Asia.
The key is to have a talisman that remains on you for at least a period of time and it has to be physically against your skin. So a necklace or a ring is the best option and then of course a bracelet would be perfect as well. The mojo bag it’s perfect, for those who don’t like to wear jewelry, but need to keep a stone or a special item of luck, hidden and on their person.
Other stones you could consider when purchasing jewelry for luck include:
- Green Aventurine – Known as the “stone of opportunity,” green aventurine is said to promote luck, especially in financial matters.
- Jade: Considered a powerful good luck stone in many cultures, jade is associated with prosperity and harmony.

I also like to suggest that you work with in your system of magic and also your heritage as I do believe you can draw upon your heritage to help raise the energy and bring additional luck your way. Another idea is that you should be wearing a talisman to help you through a specific situation, for example, if you were travelling and you wanted luck and safety while you travelled, you would wear a talisman to help you with that during your travels. Personally, I have a Mojo bag that I wear hidden around my neck during all times when I’m travelling. Yes, it is mainly for protection, but in that protection, is the idea I will have good luck along the way and not come into contact with people or situations that would cause me a negative outcome.

The key is to schedule a luck spell, at least once a year, and if you truly need more luck, do it more frequently. My other takeaway is to not to be disappointed if you don’t see a 100% change in your luck. Magic works differently for every person, and if you see a 5% change each time you conduct this spell, imagine how your life will be different at the end of the year.
