Every month I’m going to share a piece called Coven Musings, my personal journal-style letter where I share my real thoughts, reflections, lessons I’m learning, and whatever is moving through me. These will be more intimate, more conversational, and straight from my heart and my own practice. Think of it as sitting down together after circle, just talking.
Basically, it’s my chance to have a bitch, have a laugh, and share my thoughts with my followers. As always, thanks for walking this path with me!
Greetings everyone,
One thing I’ve been reflecting on lately is this: Why do some people feel the need to lie to their witch?
I’ve noticed a pattern over the years with clients who come seeking powerful change. They will share only part of the story. They leave out important details, bend the truth, or sometimes outright lie about what is really happening in their life. Then, when the work doesn’t bring the exact result they wanted, they become frustrated, angry, and often direct that blame toward me or the coven.
The Truth About Spirits and Honesty
Here is the deeper truth I want you to understand. Spirits are indeed mind readers. They do know the full story. They see everything we try to hide. However, they are not here to save us from our own stupidity or poor choices. Just because they know the truth does not mean they will automatically fix the situation or override the consequences of our actions. Spirits do not operate with human-style loyalty or compassion in the way many people expect. They respond to the energy and the petition that is brought to them. If the petition is built on half-truths or deliberate deception, the results will reflect that incomplete or distorted foundation.
My Role as Petitioner
When I step up to do work for a client, I am acting as the petitioner. I take what the client tells me and I present that information to the spiritual world on their behalf. I do not invent the story. I do not add details that were never shared with me. If something feels off during the reading or ritual, if my intuition tells me the story does not fully add up, I will sometimes gently note that something does not feel right. But I am not here to call anyone an absolute liar. That is not my role. If a client chooses to lie to me, it is their money and their choice. I simply carry their words forward as the bridge to the spirits.
Why Full Honesty Matters
This is why honesty is so important in this work. When you withhold the truth from your witch, you are not just limiting the spell. You are limiting your own healing and growth. You are creating a situation where the magic is trying to work with incomplete information, which makes it much harder for real, lasting change to occur. The spirits may know the full picture, but they will not rewrite your story for you or protect you from the natural consequences of your own actions.
A Final Note
I say this with love and firmness because I care about your progress. If you want real, lasting transformation, bring the whole truth. The more honest and clear you are with me, and with yourself, the more effectively we can work together. When you withhold or distort the truth, you are not protecting yourself. You are actually making the path more difficult.
I am here to help you, not to judge you. But I can only work with what you give me. The clearer and more honest the foundation, the stronger and more accurate the results can be.
I hope this reflection gives you something meaningful to think about as we move through this month together.
Blessed Beast,
Savannah
