Ritual Bells
The ritual bell is a traditional tool used in many forms of magic and occult practice to clear energy, mark the beginning and end of ritual work, and call spiritual forces into the space.
In witchcraft and ceremonial magic, the bell is commonly used to cleanse the air of stagnant or negative energy before a ritual begins, to call in spirits or deities, and to signal the opening and closing of sacred space.
In black magic and baneful practices, the bell can be used more aggressively. Some practitioners ring it to summon spirits to carry out a curse, to break through protective barriers, or to activate and “wake up” a working.
In LaVeyan Satanism, the bell holds a specific and standardized role. According to Anton LaVey in The Satanic Bible, the bell is one of the core ritual tools. It is traditionally rung nine times at the beginning of the ritual and nine times at the end. LaVey describes the bell as a way to clear the air of lingering vibrations and to psychologically separate the ritual space from the mundane world. In this tradition, the bell serves a practical and theatrical function rather than carrying deep symbolic meaning.
While the bell is most strongly associated with witchcraft and ceremonial magic, it is also used by many Luciferian and Theistic Satanic practitioners to clear energy, announce the presence of spirits, or mark key moments during ritual and evocation.
Whether you are using it to open and close rituals, call in spiritual forces, or add structure and focus to your magical work, a good ritual bell is a simple but effective tool in many occult traditions.

IDEA – we don’t keep in stock the bell that most of us have for our dark magic rituals.
Here is a link to the one most of us purchase. It’s on Amazon (USA LINK), and it’s super heavy-duty and has a deeper sound that we love. This bell does have a wall bracket, which could be quite useful for storage. However, this is a great price point, and it is better just to purchase directly off Amazon.
