ORNIAS: THE SHAPESHIFTING DEMON

Ornias is a fallen angel who was defeated and subdued by King Solomon in the testament of Solomon.

Description:

Constellation: Aquarius

Abilities:

•Ornias is a shape-shifter by nature with the power to assume any form he deems fit.
•He feeds on the life force or soul of his victims who are mostly young boys.
•Ornias is gifted with the power of prophecy. He can tell of future events and that which has already happened.

Appearance:

As a shape-shifting demon, Ornias can take forms such as; a man who likes effeminate boys, a flaming fire, a heavenly winged creature or the form of a lion.

About:

As the Testament of Solomon recounts; during the construction of the temple of Jerusalem, Ornias appears at sunset and takes half of the wages and food of the master workman’s boy who is also King Solomon’s favorite servant.

The fallen angel frequently sucks the soul of the servant boy from his right thumb. This constant form of vampire-like activity causes the boy to grow thin. King Solomon of Israel takes notice of the servant boy’s loss of weight and question him to which the boy tells the king of what Ornias has been doing to him. Angry and enraged at what he has heard, King Solomon prays to God begging him for the power and authority over demon Ornias.

His prayers are answered by God who sends Archangel Micheal to give Solomon a magical ring with a seal engraved on it. This ring is meant to give King Solomon of Israel the power he desire over demons.
Michael also says to Solomon,

“You shall imprison all the demons, male and female, with their help you shall build Jerusalem when you bear this seal of God”

Solomon subsequently gives the ring to the servant boy and tells him to fling the ring at the demon’s chest whenever Ornias appears next, and command him to appear before the king. Ornias later reappears as a flaming fire and the servant boy follows King Solomon’s instruction, shouting,

“Come! Solomon commands you!”

The demon Ornias screams in pains and tries to sway the servant boy by promising him all the gold and silver on earth if he returns the ring back to Solomon but the boy is not easily deceived and he binds the demon, delivering Ornias to the king.

Solomon finds Ornias, the demon at his gates trembling and tries to interrogate him. Ornias tells the king that he is a descendant of an archangel and he is often thwarted by the archangel Uriel. He also states that he lives in the star constellation of Aquarius where he strangles men born under the sign Aquarius because of their love for women born under the sign of Virgo.

Ornias also tells the king that he has three base form of transformation which are; that of a man who loves the body of boys with feminine mannerism and when he touches them, they feel a great pain, that of a creature with wings flying up to the heavenly regions and that of a lion.

King Solomon of Israel binds the demon with the magical ring and forces Ornias to work on cutting stones from the quarry. Ornias is afraid of iron and so he begs king Solomon of Israel for a small amount of freedom with the promise of summoning other demons. Solomon in turn, summons Uriel the archangel and enemy of Ornias who then forces Ornias to cut stones by terrorizing the demon.

After Ornias is done with the work, Solomon commands him to bring the prince of demons to him. He gives Ornias the magical rings and he goes to bring Beelzebub who proves unwilling to go to Solomon until Ornias throws the ring at Beelzebub which forces him to cry out in pain. The prince of demon finally goes to meet King Solomon of Israel.

Ornias also has the gift of prophecy. It is he who tells King Solomon that demons fly to heaven to overhear God’s plans but when they get exhausted while flying, they fall down like falling stars.
