Brulefer, Third Servitor of Hael and Sergulath

Brulefer is one of the subordinate demons ascribed to the four chief demons under Satanachia. The Grimorium Verum lists him as the third demon within his hierarchy. He is ruled by Hael and Sergulath and his position within the government of Satanachia implies potency. The Grimorium Verum is the only major and credible grimorie which makes mention of this demon thereby adding to the mystery surrounding him. Not much else is known regarding this demon due to the lack of details regarding his historical background.

The Grimorium Verum states the following regarding Brulefer: “Brulefer, who causes a person to be beloved of women.” The office of this demon has to do with attaining the affections of women and this can be used by the conjuror as they see fit. He cannot be used by women to obtain the affections of men however. He can thus be called forth to assist the medium on love matters whenever the need arises. Besides this ability, the demonology world is presently oblivious of what else Brulefer is capable of achieving when summoned.

Given the lack of details regarding this demon in the mainstream circles of demonology, it is obvious that his true nature is unknown. Thus, there can be no way of knowing his true motives sans the relevant information. It is therefore impossible to know whether this demon is trustworthy as he could be malevolent, benevolent, or even indifferent towards mortal human beings. It is necessary that great caution is taken when dealing with obscure otherworldly entities. Better yet, conjurors with zero to modest experience should attempt summoning more familiar demons especially for love outcomes.

Brulefer can be summoned like the other inferior demons mentioned within the Grimorium Verum. The ritual for summoning him is outlined within the Third Book. It requires the medium to desist from any form of biblical sin nor have sexual contact for a duration of three days. After this, the process of invoking the demon can be conducted by the medium. Despite its relative difficulty, it is the most basic ritual for invoking the inferior demons found in the Grimorium Verum. The entire ritual is detailed within the Third Book of the Grimorium Verum for conjuror’s convenience.

History

Brulefer was first mentioned within recorded history through the publication of the Grimorium Verum in the year 1817. It is only this brief listing which forms any meaningful historical information regarding this demon. There are no discernible correlations between this demon and ancient Middle-Eastern mythology or early Graeco-Roman stories. He was quite possibly an olden pagan god who was demonized with the advent of Christianity throughout Europe in the Middle Ages.

Description

Rank: Third of the Subordinate Demons ascribed to Hael and Sergulath

Appearance

There are no reliable reports of this demon’s physical manifestation within major grimories or in the knowledge bases of demonology circles. The Grimorium Verum does not make any mention of Brulefer’s looks. This is unsurprising since the grimorie was written to conceal instead of revealing as consistent with the magical literature of its time.

  • Virgin parchment
  • Quill

Precautions:

  • As with every other demon, it is necessary to accord this one his respect. This not only prevents or reduces malevolent intent but also increases the likelihood of desired outcomes.
  • Care should also be taken by the conjuror to protect themselves from otherworldly energies. This is done through mentally envisioning a protection circle and entering it.
  • Over-reliance on demons’ energy is not advisable as it has been posited to affect one at the psychological level.

Steps

  • The conjuror should prepare for the ritual by balancing their energies through engaging in power meditation first.
  • They should then recite this following prayer as they wash their arms and face with the holy water: “Lord God, ADONAY, who hast formed man in Thine image, I, the unworthy and sinful, beseech Thee to sanctify this water, to benefit my body and soul, cause me to be cleansed.
  • The conjuror must stay without committing any form of biblical sin and have no sexual contact for the next three days, all the while praying five times in the day, and four times at night.
  • At the conjuror’s chosen time and hour, the virgin parchment should be prepared containing invocations and the Seal of Brulefer.
  • The following conjuration should then be recited: “I conjure thee, Brulefer, by the name of the Great Living God, Sovereign Creator of all things, that thou appear in human form, fair and agreeable, without noise or inconvenience, to answer truthfully in all the interrogations that I shall make. I conjure thee to do this by the power of the Holy and Sacred Names.”
  • After completing the ritual, Brulefer should be dismissed through saying the following prayer: “Go in peace, Brulefer, whence you came, peace be with you, and come every time I shall call you, in the name of the Father + and of the Son + and of the Holy Spirit + Amen”.
  • According to the Grimorium Verum, the character of the demon – contained on the virgin parchment – should then be burnt because he can only serve you once.
