Hael, Servitor of Nebiros

Hael is another obscure demon mentioned within the Grimorium Verum. This demon rules over a hierarchy of eight servitors in conclave with Sergulath. Hael himself is said to be under the command of the demon Nesbiros and is tied to no hierarchy. Besides the Grimorium Verum, he is not mentioned within any other major grimories leading to lack of detailed information regarding him. This is no surprise however given the paucity of details regarding this demons’ nature throughout demonology circles and ancient mythologies.

The Grimorium Verum only lists this demon and does not make any overt explanations – this is unsurprising given that the grimorie was tailored for the concealment of information as opposed to revealing it. Other accounts posit that this demon is capable of teaching the conjuror the secret knowledge of the past, present, and future if they so wish. Additionally, this demon can also bestow one the gift of language as well as finding hidden treasures. Not much else is known regarding this demon as consistent with several other demons mentioned in the Grimorium Verum.

Hael only appears within recorded history with the publication of the Grimorium Verum in 1817. The lack of detailed information regarding this demon means that there is no way of knowing his true nature. This is especially risky seeing as the demon could be malevolent, benevolent, or even indifferent towards human beings. As a result, conjurors with modest to zero experience should desist from attempting to conjure him especially given his potency. It is noteworthy that there are other demons who serve the same function and are familiar within demonology circles.

Hael can be invoked through the same ritual outlined in the Grimorium Verum for calling forth inferior demons. The ritual for summoning inferior demons is provided within the Third Book of the Grimorium Verum in detail. It requires the medium to avoid all forms of biblical sin nor have any sexual contact for three days. After this, the last steps towards the invocation of the demon can be safely done by the medium. Despite its seeming complexity, it is the most basic ritual for invoking the inferior demons of this potency according to the Grimorium Verum.
