Pentagnony is one of the surbodinates of the four chief demons ascribed to Satanachia. Serving under the government of Satanachia is implicit of potency as well as giving him something of a lofty ranking. He is one of the eight servitors of Hael and Sergulath listed within the Grimorium Verum. The Grimorium Verum is the only major grimorie which makes mention of this demon thereby contributing to lack of detailed information regarding him. This is unsurprising however given the dearth of details regarding these demons’ nature throughout the Grimorium Verum.
This demon is capable of granting one the powers of invisibility in addition to gaining the favor of great lords (people in powerful positions). His office is dual as it deals with invisibility and politics or legal affairs as per the conjuror’s preference. The Grimorium Verum states the following regarding Pentagnony: “Pentagnony, who gives the two benefits of attaining invisibility and the love of great lords.” Not much else is known regarding this demon due to the lack of details regarding his demonic background within the Grimorium Verum.
The lack of much information regarding this demon means that there can be no way of conclusively knowing his true nature. This means that his motives are also unknown within the world of demonology as he could be benevolent, malevolent, or indifferent towards human beings. It is therefore important that great caution is taken when dealing with similarly obscure otherworldly entities. Better yet, mediums with zero to modest experience should attempt summoning more familiar demons. There are enough sufficiently benevolent demons linked with both of his outcomes.
Pentagnony can be called forth using the same ritual for the other demons within his hierarchy. This ritual is provided within the Third Book of the Grimorium Verum for the conjuror’s convenience. It requires the medium to avoid any form of biblical sin nor have sexual contact for three days. After this, the process of summoning the demon can be conducted by the medium. Despite its seeming complexity, it is the most basic ritual for invoking the inferior demons and quite practical. If done within the demon’s acceptable confines the likelihood of desirable outcomes is increased.
History
Pentagnony was first mentioned in recorded history through the publication of the Grimorium Verum in the year 1817. There are no discernible correlations between this demon and early Graeco-Roman stories or ancient Middle-Eastern mythology. The greater likelihood is that the original identity belonged to an olden pagan god who was demonized with the advent of Christianity throughout Europe in the Middle Ages. This ancient pagan god has since been lost in history.
Description
Rank: Fourth of the Subordinate Demons ascribed to Hael and Sergulath
Appearance
There are no credible reports of this demon’s physical manifestation within the Grimorium Verum as it does not make mention of Pentagnony’s looks. It is possible that this demon is invisible when he manifests and the conjuror should expect to feel a rush of demonic energy at the height of the ritual.

Ritual Time: It is not known whether Pentagnony is a day or night demon.
Items Required
- The character of the demon
- Virgin parchment
- Quill
- Holy water
Precautions:
- Care should also be taken by the conjuror to protect themselves from otherworldly energies. This is done through mentally envisioning a protection circle and entering it.
- As with every other demon, it is necessary to show Pentagnony his respect. This not only prevents malevolent intent and also increases the likelihood of desired outcomes.
- Over-reliance on demons’ energy is not advisable as it has been posited to affect one at the psychological level.
Steps
- The conjuror prepares for the ritual by balancing their energies through engaging in power meditation first.
- They should then say this following prayer as they wash their arms and face with holy water: “Lord God, ADONAY, who hast formed man in Thine image, I, the unworthy and sinful, beseech Thee to sanctify this water, to benefit my body and soul, cause me to be cleansed.”
- They must stay without committing any form of biblical sin and have no sexual contact for three days, while praying five times in the day, and four times at night.
- At the conjuror’s chosen time and hour, the virgin parchment should be prepared containing invocations and the Seal of Pentagnony.
- The following conjuration should then be recited: “I conjure thee, Pentagnony, by the name of the Great Living God, Sovereign Creator of all things, that thou appear in human form, fair and agreeable, without noise or inconvenience, to answer truthfully in all the interrogations that I shall make. I conjure thee to do this by the power of the Holy and Sacred Names.”
- After completing the ritual, Pentagnony should be dismissed through saying the following prayer: “Go in peace, Pentagnony, whence you came, peace be with you, and come every time I shall call you, in the name of the Father + and of the Son + and of the Holy Spirit + Amen”.
- The character of the demon – contained on the virgin parchment – should then be burnt because he can only serve you once.
