Full Moon Ritual for December 2024:
1. Preparation:
- Sacred Space: Cleanse your space with sage, palo santo, or incense. Set up your altar with winter elements like pine cones, evergreen branches, candles, and crystals that resonate with Gemini energy, such as agate, citrine, or moonstone.
- Intentions: Reflect on the past year and think about what you want to release before the year ends. Also, consider what intentions you want to set for the new year.
2. Tools Needed:
- Candles: White for clarity, yellow or light blue for communication and wisdom.
- Crystals: Agate (for grounding), citrine (for clarity and positivity), and moonstone (for intuition).
- Paper and Pen: To write down what you wish to release and what you intend to bring into the new year.
- Herbs: Lavender for peace, peppermint for clarity, and frankincense for spiritual connection.
- Incense: Use a blend that resonates with air energy, like lavender, rosemary, or sandalwood.
3. Opening the Ritual:
- Grounding: Begin with a grounding exercise. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. Imagine roots growing from your feet into the earth, grounding you deeply.
- Invoke the Elements: Call upon the four elements to guide and protect your ritual. You might say:
- “I call upon the Earth to ground me.”
- “I call upon the Air to inspire me.”
- “I call upon the Fire to ignite my spirit.”
- “I call upon the Water to cleanse and heal me.”
- Invoke Deities or Spirits: If you work with any specific deities, spirit guides, or ancestors, invite them to join and assist in your ritual.
4. Reflection and Release:
- Reflect: Spend a few minutes in meditation, reflecting on the past year. Consider the lessons you’ve learned, the challenges you’ve faced, and what you’ve outgrown.
- Write Down What to Release: On one piece of paper, write down everything you want to release—negative habits, toxic relationships, limiting beliefs, or anything else that no longer serves you.
- Burn the Paper: Safely burn the paper in your cauldron or a fireproof dish, imagining those things being released from your life as the smoke rises. Say:
- “I release what no longer serves me. I make space for new growth and transformation.”
5. Setting Intentions for the New Year:
- Write Your Intentions: On another piece of paper, write down your intentions for the new year. Focus on what you wish to manifest in 2025, whether it’s personal growth, new opportunities, or enhanced communication and relationships.
- Charge Your Intentions: Hold the paper in your hands and visualize your intentions manifesting. You can also charge a crystal with these intentions by holding it and focusing your energy on it.
- Seal the Intentions: Place the paper under the candle and let the candle burn out safely, or place it on your altar to remind you of your goals as you move into the new year.
6. Closing the Ritual:
- Thank and Release: Thank the elements, deities, and spirits that you invoked for their guidance and protection. Release them from the ritual, saying:
- “I thank the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water for your presence and power. I release you now.”
- Grounding: Ground yourself by eating a small snack or drinking water. Visualize your energy settling and grounding into the earth.
- Record Your Experience: Write down any insights, feelings, or messages you received during the ritual in your journal or Book of Shadows.
7. Follow-Up:
- Watch for Signs: Over the coming days and weeks, pay attention to any signs or synchronicities related to your intentions.
- Continue the Work: Incorporate your intentions into daily or weekly practices, such as journaling, affirmations, or additional rituals to support their manifestation.
This full moon in December 2024 is a powerful time for closing the chapter of the current year and setting the stage for new beginnings in 2025. The energy of Gemini, combined with the reflective nature of the Cold Moon, makes it an ideal moment for introspection, releasing the old, and welcoming the new.
Why release?
In the Lunar Abundance system, the Full Moon is a time of “action”. So, take purposeful action at this moon phase.
On the personal development level, as you focus on what you want to cultivate in your life, you may benefit from letting go of that which is operating at the subconscious level — once you have fully felt and processed your emotions, and taken any appropriate action.
We can hoard all kinds of things, from emotion to physical possessions, from the old clothes (and goodness knows what else) in the closet, to the files clogging up our computer hard drive, outmoded ways of operating in the workplace, old money stories, and what happened to us in childhood.
Why should you clear your thoughts on a monthly basis?
The releasing and abundance ritual is about clearing your mind. Releasing the negative thoughts, and set the intention to bring you what you need in your life right now.
Your thoughts create vibrations throughout the universes, which makes setting intentions a powerful tool for achieving happiness and well-being. Intentions are like magnets. They attract what will make them come true. Setting an intention is a powerful tool for achieving happiness.
Having a clear purpose provides us with insight into our aspirations, dreams, and values. It also helps us live in the present moment instead of being caught in negative thought patterns. Those negative thoughts are what you need to write down and release this month.
Stuck on setting goals?
Crafting an intention starts by setting goals that align with your values, aspirations, and purpose.
- Decide what matters to you. Your values drive the actions in your life, and you’ll need to recognize what truly matters to you if you want to find fulfillment.
- Explore areas of your life that need an upgrade. Consider how you can improve your relationships, career, social life, spirituality, health, and community.
- Be specific about what you want to achieve, when you want to achieve it, and why.
- Bring your intentions to life. In this ritual, we will ask you to write them down. Make sure you write them in the present tense, as if they’re happening now, and affirm only what you want. You should also write down your goal, the end result of what you wish to manifest. Put feeling into it!
After you make your purchase, we will ask you to write one releasing item and one abundance item. If you have several items, keep them for next month and join us once again. If you have nothing specific to ask for, we have our own petition that we use for our long-term clients, so don’t feel pressured to come up with something.
Feedback Date:
- Allow me at least 5 weekdays after the ritual to send you my thoughts and update. Generally we do like to rest after big get together’s and Ritual’s before even beginning the feedback. So please understand that this is a very loose 3 to 5 days. I know some people do become anxious if I don’t get back to them almost immediately, but we are real magical practitioners, and sometimes as people, we do need to rest. It’s much better for us to rest and then provide the feedback when we are reenergised, rather than just giving you something immediately like an Amazon delivery, just because it was paid for, this is just not the Black Witch Coven style.
Information required for this ritual:
-
- After payment, you will find the list of the required information.
- You will also find my email address, and that is where you’ll send the information.
- Do not send your info to the support email address.
A Common Question: Why do Sorcerers & Witches Love The Night?
As every Left-Hand Path magician knows, the moonlight and nighttime foster an exceptionally great time and space to perform a ritual. While virtually everyone sleeps overnight, the etheric plane that envelopes earth becomes clear and peaceful, thus our evocations act like a lightning rod to spirits, and our spells cut right across the ether without interference. This provides a black magician and lunar witch an environment of extremely heightened energy for magick impregnation.
Needless to say, in the daytime, the local area of the etheric plane becomes muddy and filled with human ideas, pains, wishes, regrets, sadness, excitement, etc.
We sorcerers love the night because it provides us the clearest channel for our magick—among many other reasons too such as identification with lunar deities.
