Hoodoo Container Spells (Jar Spells)
Jar spells have been used in Hoodoo and Folk Magic for a long time. Depending on your situation, the specific container type would depend on what you are trying to achieve, such as:
A Sour Jar – cursing a target. Sour jars are used to literally sour someone’s life. Sour jars are considered defensive magic and aim to make the targets’ life miserable, sour, and otherwise destroyed.
Sour jars can be used:
- To curse a person
- To bring problems or trouble into somebody’s life
- To cause somebody bad luck
- Drive a person a little crazy
- Sour and break up relationships be it romantic, familial, or otherwise.

About BWC Jar Spells
At our temple, we have multiple altars for various conditions such as – Love – Money – Protection – Cursing.
Your Jar Will be prepared and placed at the appropriate altar. Over the course of one full moon period or a month, the jar is worked, meaning prayed over and attended to.
Candles MAY OR MAY NOT be lit – as it’s always good to look at the situation, and decide if the jar needs a candle to burn on the top, or if the jar and needs to be shaken to stir up the ingredients a.k.a. and create the target towards action!

You would like for us to continue working the jar on your behalf
Many clients choose to keep the jar on our altar and have the jar “worked on”. It’s common to work on these spells for weeks, months, or even years.
If you would like to continue to keep your jar on the altar, a donation of $40 is required per month. Make sure you let us know within a few days of receiving your completion email that you would like to work continue, otherwise we will dispose of your jar according to the principles of Hoodoo. Quite often we are happy to work the jar on the altar after the first additional month for a few months without having to pay every single month.
You have some feedback about the jar from the current work
While magic works in its own time, sometimes it can work rather fast, and if this is the case, make sure you let us know. We will make sure we thank our spirit guides and your spirit guides for the success of your jar, and then dispose your of the jar in the most appropriate way, for the type of jar it is!
If you’ve lost interest or want us to get rid of the jar…
No problem at all. You don’t have to say anything, and we will dispose of the jar in our own way.
Note – Once the jar has been destroyed, if you decide you want to the jar again, you will have to order the service all over again.
