Make A Wish Come True
A Spell Calling On Bacchus
When to Perform This Spell: Bacchanalia (March 15).
The Bacchanalia consisted of Roman festivals in honor of Bacchus, the Greco-Roman god of wine, freedom, intoxication, and ecstasy. Equivalent to the Greek mystical god Dionysius, each was celebrated at the beginning and end of the grape harvest. This spell uses the magic ingredients associated with both gods to manifest a special wish sooner than you think.
What You Will Need
- A piece of paper and a pen or pencil
- 1 red candle
- A cauldron or cooking pot
- 1 cup (235 ml) red wine and 1 glass of the same red wine or grape juice to drink, if you are averse to wine
Make yourself comfortable and sit before your table or altar of ingredients. Concentrate on what you want to manifest and imagine clearly what it might be like to have it. Write down on your paper what it is you wished for.
Light the candle and focus on the flame, then take up your paper and say,
‘I connect myself to the power of Bacchus
And with this offering give thanks.
So shall this which I have written come to pass.
May it come to me easily, and with harm to none.
I will it. I draw it to me.
I accept it. I receive it. I give thanks for it.
By my will, so mote it be.’
Place the paper in the flame. Hold the burning paper for as long as you safely can over the cauldron or cooking pot, then drop it in. The length of time it takes for the paper to burn signifies how long your wish will take to manifest. For example, if it takes only a few seconds, this corresponds to a few days, a few minutes, a few weeks, and so on. If any part of the paper doesn’t burn, take that piece and repeat the spell again.
Once it has completely burned, pour the cup of wine over the paper cinders and say,
‘I put myself into a position of love and trust, knowing that what I wished for shall come.’
Finally, thank Bacchus for his help by drinking the glass of wine in his honor, and then say,
‘Thank you, Bacchus, for all your help for my future happiness.’
