Firstly, we will say that we do not claim to cure depression with just the summoning of a demon or with the casting of a spell.

Depression, like any other mental illness, requires a holistic approach to tackle the “beast” called depression, and a realization that depression will be your friend/companion for many years to come if not across a lifetime. So the idea is to have a strategy for when your mood is super low so you can raise it up to a level where you can continue living.

Below is a general outline for a ritual designed to seek demonic assistance in alleviating feelings of depression, balancing empowerment with a focus on personal responsibility and healing.

Ritual for Demonic Assistance in Overcoming Depression

  • Buer: Recognized for his associations with healing, Buer may provide guidance and support in overcoming feelings of despair and encouraging emotional balance.

Materials Needed

  1. Black candle: Represents protection and dispelling negativity.
  2. White candle: Symbolizes purity and healing.
  3. Essential oils: Such as lavender or bergamot for their calming properties.
  4. A piece of paper: For writing your intentions or feelings.
  5. A personal item: Something meaningful to you that represents your struggle or healing journey (e.g., a small stone, crystal, or charm).
  6. Incense: Such as sandalwood or frankincense to create a sacred space.

Steps for the Ritual

  1. Create a Sacred Space:
    • Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Cleanse the area with incense or by visualizing a protective light surrounding you. Arrange your materials neatly.
  2. Set Your Intentions:
    • Before beginning the ritual, take time to reflect on your feelings and intentions. Write down the emotions you want to release and the positive changes you wish to invite in. For example:
    • “I release despair and invite healing and clarity into my life.”
  3. Light the Candles:
    • Place the black candle on your left and the white candle on your right. Light the black candle first to symbolize the dispelling of negativity, then the white candle to welcome healing. As you do this, recite:
    • “With this flame, I call in light, to dispel the dark and guide me right.”
  4. Invoke Buer:
    • Hold your hands over the items and invoke Buer with sincere intention. You can say an invocation like:
    • “Buer, spirit of healing, I call upon you. Assist me in overcoming this weight, grant me strength to see the light anew.”
  5. Focus on Your Intentions:
    • Close your eyes and visualize the dark emotions transforming into light as you breathe deeply. Feel Buer’s presence supporting you as you release negative feelings and invite healing.
  6. Meditation and Reflection:
    • Spend a few moments in quiet meditation, allowing any insights or guidance to emerge. Focus on the positive changes you wish to manifest in your life as you feel the energy of healing envelop you.
  7. Conclude the Ritual:
    • Once you feel ready, thank Buer for his assistance. Extinguish the candles, taking care to ground the energy by saying:
    • “Thank you for your guidance; I release you now.”

Demonic assistance rituals, such as the one involving Buer, can serve as a means of empowerment and healing when addressing feelings of depression. Witchcraft Spells for Depression

DEPRESSION HEALING SPELL

Paganism is about appreciation of nature. When you have depression, it is important to connect with nature and feel “connected” with things other than oneself.

  • Go outside during the daytime and find yourself a large tree. Oak is the best choice, but any large tree will do.
  • Place the palm of your projective hand (right if right handed, left if left handed) upon the trunk of the tree and say something like this to the tree:

“Blessed tree, my brother (or sister) of wood, I am in great need of your healing. I feel hollow inside, as my depression grips at my very heart. I ask that you aid me, assist me in healing myself of this. Please assist me to feel strong and solid inside, assist me in being happy again.”

  • Now lean your back against the trunk of the tree.
  • As you start to relax, feel yourself melt into the trunk, becoming one with the tree. Feel that you have a branch, full of leafy foliage
  • Feel the Sun shine down upon you. Fill yourself with the energy of the sun, and allow this to pass through you into the tree as well.
  • You are now part of the tree; you are the tree. Feel the overwhelming Wisdom locked into your wood, your leaves. Feel all that it is to be a tree.
  • Now, slowly, feel yourself separate from the tree, becoming human again. Lean forward, and stand.
  • Face the tree, and thank it. If you feel like it, give it a hug!
  • You and the tree are now one; you are the tree, and the tree is now you.
  • Love the tree, and care for it. The better the tree is cared for, the happier you will be in the long run!

Become one with the tree as often as you need to by performing the above ritual and try to spend time with your tree whenever you can. Talk to it, tell it your troubles and share your joys!

If you ever need to move far from the tree, explain this to it, and give it back the woody feeling inside, and it will give you back the human feeling it has.

When you move, find a new tree. Also, if you can, explain to whoever moves into the place you were in, if at all possible, and ask them to take special care of this tree because it has meaning to you.

A Spell for A Positive Inner Self

*White Candle

*Glass of Water

During the waning moon, any day of the week

Light the White candle. Place the glass of water next to it, and breathe calmly until you are relaxed then say the following prayer:

“I open my body and mind to the vibration of God and Goddess;

to a time of quiet energy,

I release that which has passed

and holds no power in the future,

I claim my inner strength

and open my mind to the future,

That I may be embraced

in the healing of the sun

as it begins its own growth,

I claim this power with trust and faith”

Then sit quietly for a moment (while staring at the candlelight), and continue to breathe calmly.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself in a peaceful place, then breathe in that peacefulness.

Open your eyes (whilst continuing to breathe), remembering the calmness that you felt, then close your eyes, visualizing yourself surrounded by a purple light or glow, you’re happy and completely serene, stay with this feeling for as long as you can.

Then open your eyes and say:

‘As I will, so may it be!’.

Then take a drink of the water and blow out the candle.

A Spell to Be More Positive

Call to a deity for healing such as Verrine, Isis, Belial, Ishtar, Freya, Baal, Shiva, Thoth

You will need:

Timing: Perform at new moon

Method:

  • Light an incense if you like to set the atmosphere
  • Dress the candle with the oil
  • Place the candle on your altar.
  • Cast the circle  (if you do so) and call the deity of your choice
  • Visualize the moon and say:

“Tonight the moon, Tomorrow the sun
Let this power built till my will is done
Candle burn down to send my will
This spell will be cast for good not ill”

  • Let the candle burn down completely, preferably in sight of the moon.

Have A Good Day Spell

Cast this spell first thing in the morning for best results.

*a glass of water

* a mirror.

Stand before the mirror and say quietly to yourself:

“I’m going to have a really good day.
Today everything will go well.
Today is going to be great! “

Place your projective hand (the one you write with) over the glass of water and imagine that you are sending magickal white light into it.

Now look yourself in the eye in the mirror. Smile and say:

“I take into myself the power of a truly magickal day”

Drink all the water and finish the spell with the words:

“Blessed Be”

Now wash and dress and generally go about preparing for the good day ahead

Confidence Spell #1

* Tiger’s eye stone (yellow specifically)

*  gold or a white candle,

* if you want a little bit of sunflower oil

* frankincense incense.

This is to be done prior to sunrise.

Either sit in an open window at the east or go outside and sit in a comfortable spot where the sunrise will be in view. Lay the items before you. Light the incense and candle. Set the stone in your receptive hand.  Meditate on the situation you are doing this spell for. See yourself taking on that challenge with confidence and ease. If you are doing this for general purposes, then see yourself as a confident and/or courageous person, not fearing daily problems for you know that with a clear mind you can solve it. As the sun begins to peek over the horizon lift the stone and chant:

“By the power of the rising sun and by the power of

the tiger’s eye.  My confidence shall grow, my fears shall die.”

Repeat as often as necessary, until it is affirmed in your mind. Then, if you have the sunflower oil, anoint the stone with it to give it an extra enhancement.

Carry this stone with you in situations that requires some confidence.

If you must, rub the stone for assurance.


A Confidence Spell #2

*amethyst, bloodstone or desert rose

*yellow candle

*rosemary or dragon’s blood incense

Carry a stone of amethyst, bloodstone, or desert rose – this can be done in a piece of jewellery or in the pocket. Carrying any of these stones helps to increase confidence.

Do this spell for three nights during the waxing moon. Light a yellow candle and place the stone that you have chosen before the candle. Light some rosemary or dragon’s blood incense. Meditation is good for this ritual if you wish. Envision being confident and gaining the strength you need.

Chant thrice:

‘Growing stronger with the moon

Tonight I ask of Her a boon

With candle flame and stone as key

My confidence returns to me’

Spell for self-confidence  #3

*Incense blend: Frankincense, benzoin, dragon’s blood, mace, orange peel, rose petals

*golden yellow candle

During the full moon

Form your magick circle and be very still. Imagine warmth within you, gathering behind your navel and gradually spreading outwards so the whole of your body feels warm and glowing. Light a golden yellow candle and say:

“May my inner confidence glow like this candle flame

May it be an ever-burning flame inside me

May it grow like the moon and, having reached fullness,

Remain constant as the northern star.

As this candle burns and is transformed,

So my inner confidence becomes complete

So shall it be.”

When you are ready, close down your circle and end the ritual. You may like to put the candle somewhere safe to burn out, or relight it each day until it is finished.

Light candles and meditate on the picture and say:

“Love, Warmth, Happiness of a child. Sadness be gone and innocence be mild.”

Chant until you feel better

To free yourself of anger

Add three teaspoons of mint leaves to one cup of boiling water. Let the tea steep for six minutes and inhale the steam as the tea strengthens. Strain, sweeten with honey, and chant the following over the tea:

‘Cool my anger, herb of mint.
Honey, sweeten my intent.
My attitude, I ask you, change.
Toss heat of temper out of range.’

Drink the tea and feel your anger evaporate.


 

To attract self love

*1 mirror, big enough for you to be able to see your body and face in it

* 4 white candles

* Rose incense, or Rose essential oil in an oil burner

Place the candles so that when you are sitting on the floor, there is one in front of you, one behind you and one on either side of you.  Light the candles and turn out all the lights.  Light the incense, or oil burner candle, and look into the mirror.  As you look at your reflection, look at all your features, and realise how beautiful you really are.  If you can stand up and still see your whole body, that is good, if not, continue sitting.  As you look at each part of your body, say out loud something good about that part, for example:

“Blessed be my eyes, for I like the colour”

or

“Blessed be my hair, for it shines like Black marble”

Remember to say something good about the not-so-nice parts of your body too!

“Blessed be my belly, that it may wobble as I laugh”

When you have finished appreciating your whole body, smile to yourself and say:

“I am special, as I am a child of the Goddess,

She is within me, and around me, I am surrounded by love”

Conclude the spell by making a list of all the wonderful things about you, things you like about your body, talents you have, dreams you have, anything you like about yourself, and place this list somewhere you will be reminded of it often.
