Many people who enter a pact with Clauneck for wealth, prosperity, and financial sovereignty expect things to steadily improve. When the opposite happens such as unexpected debt, relationships falling away, a sense of “everything is going backwards”, it’s natural to wonder if you’ve done something wrong with your offerings or your commitment.
Recently, a dedicated practitioner I’ll call Marcus reached out after a couple of months into his pact with Clauneck. He had been consistent with his devotional work and initially felt a real connection to the spirit. Yet he found himself facing several thousand dollars in unexpected financial pressure, and many long-term friendships had begun to dissolve or become strained. He was doing everything he knew to honour the relationship, but the results felt like the exact opposite of what the pact was for.
This isn’t unusual. In fact, it’s one of the most common experiences I see when people begin serious, consistent work with spirits of wealth and power like Clauneck. What looks like failure is often the work actually moving.
This blog post will interest you if:
- You have recently made a pact with Clauneck or another wealth spirit and are now experiencing unexpected disruption, financial pressure, or the loss of relationships.
- Things seem to be getting worse instead of better since you began the work, and you’re wondering if you’re doing something wrong or if the spirit has abandoned you.
- You feel frustrated or confused when results don’t appear quickly or in the way you expected after entering into spirit work.
- You want to better understand the difference between treating these workings like a transaction and building a real, respectful relationship with the spirit.
- You are currently moving through a clearing or realignment phase and want practical, grounded advice on how to stay steady and continue the work.
What Spiritual Pacts Actually Are
A pact with Clauneck (or any daemon) is not a vending machine transaction where you perform a ritual and money appears on demand. According to the Grimorium Verum, Clauneck “has power over goods and riches… can bestow great wealth, for he is well loved by Lucifer. He brings money from a distance.” The text is clear: results come through a reciprocal relationship built on respect and mutual obedience — “Obey him, and he will obey thee.”

A true pact is an alliance. You offer consistent respect, attention, and offerings; the spirit works on your behalf in the ways it deems most effective for sustainable results. Clauneck is known for revealing hidden treasures and moving money, but he is also known to test intentions and clear what stands in the way of real, lasting prosperity. And I do think people skip over the idea of testing of intentions lightly.
This is why the early stages can feel disruptive rather than immediately rewarding.
The Clearing Phase: Why Things Often Get Worse Before They Get Better
A Clauneck pact can bring powerful movement, but power does not always arrive gently. The clearing phase may feel like confusion, pressure, loss, or upheaval, especially when the work begins by changing you before it changes your circumstances. But if you pay attention, you may find that the disruption has a pattern. The obstacles being removed are connected to the abundance you requested. The discomfort is pointing toward capacity. The endings are making space.
Sometimes the spirit gives you what you asked for by first removing what would keep you from receiving it. That is the storm before the abundance.
The Result May Not Look Like the Request
One of the deepest lessons in this kind of work is that spirits may help you reach the true goal, not the fantasy version of it.
You may ask for a specific job and instead be pushed toward your own business. You may ask for quick money and instead be forced to rebuild your relationship with value. You may ask for clients and instead realize your offerings need restructuring. You may ask for abundance and first be shown every place you have been living beneath your own standard.
This can be frustrating. It can also be the point.
Clauneck does not only bring money. Clauneck can teach you how money moves, where it gets blocked, and what must shift for it to circulate through your life differently.
The storm is not always the opposite of the blessing. Sometimes the storm is what clears the road for it.
Multiple angles on why this happens
Spiritual angle
Clauneck (and similar wealth daemons) often begin by removing blockages both internal and external that would prevent stable, sovereign prosperity from taking root. This can include draining relationships, self-sabotaging patterns, limiting environments, or energetic stagnation around money. What feels like “losing friends” is frequently the spirit pruning connections that no longer match the frequency of the new path you’ve chosen. It is protective, not punitive.
Psychological angle
Sudden financial pressure or social shifts trigger deep fears around scarcity, worthiness, and abandonment. These fears were often running quietly in the background, shaping your old relationship with money and people. The “chaos” forces them into the light so they can be transmuted. Many practitioners report that after the initial discomfort, their relationship with money itself changes becoming more empowered, less anxious, and more strategic.
Energetic & practical angle
Old money habits, hidden debts, or unsustainable lifestyles get exposed. The temporary increase in pressure can act as a catalyst: forcing a radical review of spending, prompting new income ideas, or creating the exact conditions needed for Clauneck to move resources in your direction (new opportunities, unexpected help, better-aligned work).
Magic rarely works by making every day incrementally better. It works by rearranging reality so your goal becomes inevitable even if the path looks nothing like you expected.
The key distinction
This is not the same as a pact backfiring or the spirit abandoning you. Marcus was still feeling the connection and doing the work. The disruption itself was evidence the current was moving. The danger comes when we mislabel this phase as “I’m doing everything wrong” and spiral into doubt, which can create resistance and slow the very process we’re trying to support.
When the Pact Starts Working Differently Than Expected
A common mistake in spirit work is assuming that a result will arrive in the form we imagined. You ask for wealth, so you expect a raise, a lump sum, more sales, or a lucky break. Those things can happen. But spirits do not always work according to human preference or comfort.
Sometimes the first manifestation is pressure. A toxic client leaves. A job becomes unbearable. A business model stops working. A relationship dynamic gets exposed. An old coping mechanism no longer gives relief. A financial pattern becomes impossible to ignore.
From the outside, this can look like things are going wrong. But spiritually, something else may be happening: the structure that kept you stuck is being broken down.
Clauneck is known for wealth, commerce, and the movement of money, but wealth is not just cash. It is flow. It is access. It is capacity. It is the ability to receive, manage, sustain, and direct resources. If your current life cannot support the thing you asked for, the pact may begin by changing the container.
And changing the container can feel like a storm.
The Clearing Phase Is Not Punishment
This is the common message I hear from clients. Especially clients who honestly feel they have done something to offend the spirit…And so I’m specifically writing this paragraph for you guys.
The clearing phase is not the spirit attacking you, punishing you, or making you suffer for the sake of it. It is not a sign that the pact has failed. It is often the uncomfortable beginning of the work itself. In this phase, things may be revealed, removed, unsettled, or brought to a head. What was hidden becomes obvious. What was tolerated becomes intolerable. What was delayed becomes urgent.
This can include:
- Realizing where you have been undercharging or undervaluing your work
- Seeing how fear has kept you from taking the necessary step
- Losing an opportunity that was actually limiting your growth
- Being pushed to confront debt, avoidance, or poor money habits
- Having relationships shift because they no longer match your path
- Feeling restless, dissatisfied, or called to make a serious change
- Discovering that what you asked for requires a different version of you
This is why discernment matters. Not every hardship is spiritual progress, and not every disruption should be romanticized. But when a pact is active, patterns often begin to speak. The same lesson appears from multiple directions. The same blockage becomes harder to ignore.
The clearing phase asks: are you willing to let go of what cannot come with you?
Sometimes the Blockage Is You
This is one of the harder truths in pact work. It’s the boring answer, and if a client is particularly new, this is something that they hate to hear and will often flip or say “This is a scam!”
Many people ask a spirit to change their circumstances while secretly hoping they themselves will not have to change. They want the result, but not the transformation required to sustain it. They want more money, but not better discipline. More opportunity, but not visibility. More power, but not responsibility. More success, but not the death of an old self-image.
Clauneck’s current can expose the gap between what you say you want and what you are actually prepared to hold. That exposure can be humbling.
You may realize that your “bad luck” was partly avoidance. That your “lack of opportunity” was partly fear of being seen. That your “money problem” was tied to boundaries, shame, or inconsistency. That your desire for abundance was real, but your habits were still aligned with survival, scarcity, or chaos. This does not mean you are to blame for everything in your life. It means that in serious spirit work, your participation matters.
The spirit can open doors, shift currents, and move pieces on the board. But if you cannot walk through the door, recognize the opportunity, or maintain the blessing once it arrives, then the work must address that first.
Why Abundance Requires Space
Abundance needs room.
If your life is filled with obligations that drain you, habits that scatter your energy, people who feed on your progress, or beliefs that make receiving feel unsafe, then more money may not solve the issue. It may simply amplify the existing disorder. That is why the clearing phase often comes before the increase.
Something must be emptied, ended, cleaned, confronted, or reorganized. This may happen internally through mindset, desire, discipline, and emotional patterns. It may happen externally through work, relationships, finances, or environment. Often, it is both.
This is not always dramatic. Sometimes the clearing phase is quiet and practical. You suddenly feel compelled to budget, clean your workspace, update your offerings, change your prices, apply for something, cut an expense, or stop giving your labor away. These mundane actions can be part of the magical movement.
Spirit work does not replace real-world action. It animates it.
How to Know It’s Clearing vs. Something That Needs Adjustment
Not every difficult period is productive clearing.
Here’s how to discern:
- Signs it’s clearing and working: You still feel the connection when you sit with Clauneck. Small synchronicities or inner nudges around money and opportunity continue (even if the outer results are delayed). You notice inner shifts such as greater clarity about what you actually want, less tolerance for energy drains, new ideas or courage appearing. The discomfort has a purposeful “remodeling” quality rather than pure chaos.
- Signs it may need adjustment: Prolonged stagnation with no movement or intuitive hits after consistent effort, or a sense that something in your approach feels off or disrespectful. In these cases, a consultation can help fine-tune offerings, timing, communication style, or whether additional support (other spirits, specific rites, or shadow work) is needed.
Most people in the clearing phase are actually on track but they just need reassurance and a steadier mindset to ride it out.
Practical Guidance While Navigating the Clearing
If you are currently moving through a phase like the one Marcus experienced, where things feel like they are falling apart instead of coming together, please know that this does not mean you have done something wrong or that the spirit has turned away from you. It often means the work is actively doing what it is meant to do: clearing old patterns, people, and limitations so something stronger and more aligned can take their place.
During times like this, consistency in your connection matters. One simple daily practice you can use as a starting point is this. Each morning or evening, light a small green or gold candle and place a coin or a small amount of money that feels meaningful to you in front of it. Speak clearly and respectfully to Clauneck. Thank him for his presence, state your intention or request in a direct but humble way, and ask for his guidance and steadiness during this period of change. Let the candle burn for a while as you sit quietly and listen. When you are done, thank him again and extinguish the flame. This is just one example. Clauneck tends to develop a unique relationship and preferred way of being honored with each practitioner, so feel free to adjust or build on this in whatever way feels right and respectful to you.
If you have not yet developed your senses strongly, the easiest way to connect with the spirit is through divination, such as using a pendulum. This is exactly the kind of practical guidance I give during consultations when someone is navigating this kind of work. If you are genuinely putting in the effort with respect and an open heart, you are on the right path. Keep showing up. Keep doing the inner work. Pair your spiritual practice with practical steps in your daily life. The relationship grows through your steadiness.
How to Move Through the Clearing Phase
If you suspect you are in the clearing phase of a Clauneck pact, do not panic. Slow down and observe.
Ask yourself:
- What is being revealed right now?
- What pattern keeps repeating?
- What am I being pushed to confront?
- What feels like it is leaving, ending, or becoming impossible to maintain?
- What action have I been avoiding?
- What would I need to change in order to actually hold the abundance I asked for?
Keep records. Write down dreams, omens, financial shifts, emotional reactions, sudden opportunities, losses, conflicts, and recurring themes. Pact work becomes clearer when you track it over time.
You may also want to return to the terms of the pact. What did you ask for? What did you promise? What offerings, actions, or commitments are required of you? Are you fulfilling your side consistently?
The clearing phase is not a reason to abandon discernment. If things feel dangerously unstable, seek practical support where needed. Magic should be integrated with grounded action, not used to ignore reality.
If you’re in this phase with Clauneck or another wealth spirit, here’s what helps:
- Stay consistent and respectful — Continue your offerings with presence and genuine gratitude, even when results are invisible. Regular, sincere contact matters more than dramatic gestures. Speak to him plainly about what you’re experiencing and ask for guidance or steadiness during the transition.
- Keep a simple tracking practice — Journal signs, dreams, ideas, or subtle shifts. This helps you see the thread of progress when the outer world looks messy.
- Combine magic with grounded action — Clauneck works best with practitioners who are willing to move in the physical world. Review your finances ruthlessly. Cut what drains. Explore new income streams or skills. Update your environment and networks to match the prosperous version of yourself you’re becoming. Magic amplifies aligned action; it rarely replaces it.
- Protect your mindset — This is crucial. The belief that “I must be doing everything wrong” works against the energy you’re building. Use the house-remodel analogy whenever doubt creeps in. Remind yourself: disruption is not the same as destruction. It is the necessary stage before the rebuild.
- Lean on support when needed — Full moon rituals, personalized consultations, or targeted spell work can provide extra structure and clarity during intense clearing periods. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
When the Pact Simply Doesn’t Work
There are also times when the pact simply doesn’t work, and the spirit is not going to help you. Not every connection is successful, and not every spirit is willing to work with every person. Sometimes this happens because the foundation of respect and relationship was never truly built. Other times the spirit sees through hidden intentions, entitlement, or a lack of willingness to do the real inner work required. In these cases, no amount of frustration, anger, or demanding will change the outcome.
The spirit is not obligated to assist just because a ritual was performed or money was exchanged. When this occurs, it is usually better to be honest with yourself about whether you are actually prepared to approach this work with the consistency, respect, and self-responsibility it demands, rather than continuing to push against something that is not opening.
And if you’re wondering whether I give refunds if your pact doesn’t work ….. no, I don’t. I don’t get a refund on my time either. Until someone can give me back the hours of my life, that’s when I’ll start issuing refunds. (It’s a joke… mostly.) The truth is, there are no guarantees with magic. That’s something everyone needs to understand before performing magic themselves or paying someone else to do it.
Let’s cut the B$
The deeper issue is that many modern people approach these workings with a consumer mindset. They treat the pact like paying a fee for a service and expect an instant relationship and immediate results in return. When the spirit doesn’t respond according to what they perceive they “paid for,” frustration and anger quickly follow. They feel the demon has failed to deliver on the transaction.
Just to be clear, the client I mentioned at the beginning of this post is not who I’m talking about here. He was honest about what he was experiencing, open to understanding the process, and willing to keep doing the work. That’s a completely different approach from the one I’m about to address.
It honestly exhausts me that some people think because they paid me to do the work, the demon is now somehow obligated to deliver everything they want for a person I don’t even know just because money changed hands. It’s so unrealistic and ridiculous. My job when I do a spiritual service for someone is to properly open the door and set up that connection with respect. Once it’s handed over, my part is done. What happens after that is between the individual and the spirit. Whether the spirit actually helps them manifest what they asked for is not on me.
In reality, summoning a spirit is a profoundly humbling act. You are calling forth an entity of great knowledge and wisdom into manifestation to address a human need. That alone requires skill and practice & often years of it. And even then, it depends on how well you’ve developed your senses. After all that, you still have to stand there and speak your need without sounding like a complete idiot, knowing full well that anything coming out of a human mouth can sound petty. Then you make your offering and hope it’s accepted. This is not a transaction. It’s a relationship.
The relationship does not continue because the spirit wants or needs to be there. It continues because you have built the skill, consistency, and genuine desire to maintain it over time. Without that foundation, people often misinterpret the very real processes of clearing and realignment as the spirit abandoning them or the pact failing. What they’re actually experiencing is the gap between a transactional expectation and the deeper, slower, more respectful work that spirit relationships actually require.
And how much time? Many people will ask this question after the pact creation. There is no honest way I could answer such a question. I am always intrigued about what happens in a client’s relationship with the spirit. What I do know is that some people will take the information I give them and blow it straight out their arse. They won’t do the offerings, and they have no intention of giving gratitude to the spirit, and yet they will come back bitching and complaining that the spirit has ignored them. It’s so ridiculous. Other people will tell me stories of after a month or two, they’re feeling that the spirit is in their presence during offerings, etc., and that months later they’re seeing that there have been changes in their life. Every single case is different. Every relationship is different.
That’s why I always tell people to do it yourself. Build the relationship with the spirit directly. Understand what it takes to have spirit in your presence and what you personally need to do to get out of your own way. In other words, do the shadow work. It is difficult. You will go through pain. You will go through periods of huge transformation. And it is because you asked for it.
Personally, I have very little patience for people who approach this work without genuine respect for the spiritual path. They tend to be exhausting, demanding, entitled, and unrealistic about what’s actually required. If that’s you, I’ll happily save us both the time and suggest you go work with someone else.
BTW…..Thanks for giving me two minutes to have a little bitch lol.
My final thoughts
If you’re currently moving through a phase like the one Marcus experienced where things feel like they’re falling apart instead of coming together, please know that this doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong or that the spirit has turned away from you. It often means the work is actively doing what it’s meant to do: clearing old patterns, people, and limitations so something stronger and more aligned can take their place.
If this is where you are, keep showing up. Maintain your offerings and communication with consistency and respect. Continue doing the inner work, even when it’s uncomfortable. Pair your spiritual practice with practical steps in your daily life. So make sure you review your habits, take aligned action, and stay open to new opportunities that may appear in unexpected ways.
The relationship with the spirit grows through your steadiness and willingness, not through perfection. If you’re genuinely putting in the effort with respect and an open heart, you’re on the right path.
