The best-known modern image of Baphomet was drawn in 1856 by the French occultist Eliphas Levi, in his book Transcendental Magic: Its Doctrine and Ritual. His Goat of Mendes, or Sabbatic Goat was a visual manifestation of the unification of opposites and elements of the universe to represent the “Universal Agent.” Levi’s understanding of “God” was something more natural, elemental and primal, and one that still extended throughout the universe, into the heavens and cosmos.
He envisaged a winged hermaphrodite with a torch between his horns and a pentagram on his forehead.
Its arms bore the Latin words SOLVE (separate) and COAGULA (join together) – the powers of “binding and loosing” usurped from God.
Two fingers on the right hand point up and two on the left hand point down, meaning “as above, so below”.
These words and the accompanying gesture are familiar to occultists. They are drawn from the ancient works of Hermes Trismegistus, whose writings became popular during the Renaissance and Reformation.
The phrase is also used in relation to science, the universe and God, but Levi wrote that, by making the gesture, his Baphomet “expresses the perfect harmony of mercy with justice”.
The Baphomet is not….
a real creature
Satan
Lucifer
a demon
The baphomet is a symbol of occultism, whose meaning has evolved over the centuries.
The name dates back to the Inquisition and torture of the Knights Templar about 1100 who, according to French chroniclers of the Crusades, confessed to worshipping a heathen idol called Baphometh. Some scholars believe “Baphometh” was simply a corruption of “Mahomet” – the Prophet Muhammad. But over the years as the mystery and speculation around the Templars has grown, so too have the interpretations of the word and its meaning.
One elaborate interpretation even drove the plot in Dan Brown’s historical thriller Da Vinci Code, where the word Baphomet is decoded and translated to mean “Sophia” or wisdom.
The Baphomet is symbolism centered around the statement “As above, so below.”
First, it means that things on the earth (below) come from or are affected by things above, like the stars and the planets.
Second of all, you find out it has to do with gaining and having power, or realizing your true potential.
They are opposites:above and below, good and bad, masculine and feminine, Yin and Yang, man and woman, white and black, good and bad, and so on. You cannot have one without the other. That means you cannot have evil without the good, or good without evil. Since evil and good are simply opposites, then ONE IS NOT BETTER THAN THE OTHER.
This means that there really IS no bad, there is just what works for you and what doesn’t work for you.
Baphomet represents the Union of Opposites, especially as mystically personified in Chaos and Babalon combined and biologically manifested with the sperm and egg united in the zygote.

The Pentagram
Seen both on the forehead of the Baphomet and on the throne behind him. It asks people to reconsider their cultural grounding, look at the evidence and reconsider their position.
The Caduceus
On the Baphomet’s stomach is an old Greek symbol of two serpents entwined around a staff – the staff which was carried by Hermes and heralds in general. The caduceus symbolizes trade, negotiation and reciprocity and was co-opted into the Baphomet by Levi.
Torch between horns
The torch of knowledge is the middle horn – it glorifies the pursuit of knowledge.
As Levi wrote: “The flame of intelligence shining between his horns is the magic light of the universal balance, the image of the soul elevated above matter, as the flame, whilst being tied to matter, shines above it.”
Inscriptions
These have yet to be added but the Satanic Temple gave details of their plans in a statement last year.
On the front of the statue, above the inverted pentagram, will be one of the Satanic Temple’s seven fundamental tenets: “The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.”
The back of the stone slab will display a passage from Lord Byron’s dramatic work, Cain that reads: “Then who was the Demon? He who would not let ye live, or he who would have made ye live forever, in the joy and power of knowledge?”
Breasts
Levi’s Baphomet was a hermaphrodite, with breasts.
Levi describes the Baphomet in his own words below:
The goat on the frontispiece carries the sign of the pentagram on the forehead, with one point at the top, a symbol of light, his two hands forming the sign of occultism, the one pointing up to the white moon of Chesed, the other pointing down to the black one of Geburah. This sign expresses the perfect harmony of mercy with justice. His one arm is female, the other male like the ones of the androgyne of Khunrath, the attributes of which we had to unite with those of our goat because he is one and the same symbol. The flame of intelligence shining between his horns is the magic light of the universal balance, the image of the soul elevated above matter, as the flame, whilst being tied to matter, shines above it. The beast’s head expresses the horror of the sinner, whose materially acting, solely responsible part has to bear the punishment exclusively; because the soul is insensitive according to its nature and can only suffer when it materializes. The rod standing instead of genitals symbolizes eternal life, the body covered with scales the water, the semi-circle above it the atmosphere, the feathers following above the volatile. Humanity is represented by the two breasts and the androgyne arms of this sphinx of the occult sciences. (3)

Baphomet Evolution Timeline
14th century – Baphomet first appeared in trial transcripts for the Inquisition of the Knights Templar in the early 14th century. The name Baphomet comes up in several of these confessions. “In the trial of the Templars one of their main charges was their supposed worship of a heathen idol-head known as a ‘Baphomet’ (‘Baphomet’ = Mahomet).” (1)
1856 – The French had much to contribute to the start of the dark arts. With the demise of the Church, individuals around France began looking elsewhere for answers to life’s great mysteries. French occultist Eliphas Levi, was practicing to become a priest, and found the obvious limitations for understanding the truth through the Church. “Levi became immersed in magic and the occult. Still not abandoning his Christian orientation, he turned to Tarot and Jewish Kabbalah as means by which to uncover the universal truth of God.” (6). Lévi’s intention was to symbolize his concept of “the equilibrium of the opposites.” Levi laid out his “all is one” universalist approach to the occult in a number of books, the most important and influential being Dogma et Ritual de la Haute Magie, or Transcendental Magic, its Doctrine and Ritual, in 1856. In that work, Levi states that all ancient mystery practices, initiations, ceremonies and writings were “indications of a doctrine which is everywhere the same and everywhere carefully concealed.” Levi produced arguably the most profound image in the history of the occult – Baphomet. (6)
1897 – The original goat pentagram first appeared in the book La Clef de la Magie Noire by French occultist Stanislas de Guaita
1910s -In the 1910s, Aleister Crowley adopted Lévi’s figure as a deity within his religion/magical system Thelema. In Magick (Book 4), Crowley asserted that Baphomet was a divine androgyne and “the hieroglyph of arcane perfection” – “What occurs above so reflects below, or As above so below”
1969 – This symbol was adapted by the Church of Satan and officially named the Sigil of Baphomet. In the 1960s, when Anton LaVey was formulating the Church of Satan, he decided to adopt this depiction as the symbol of his religion, in much the same manner that Crowley adopted Lévi’s conception of the figure into Thelema. “Once again, the figure, in this context, does not represent the Biblical Satan (whom LaVeyan Satanists do not worship in the first place), but rather simply comprises a metaphor for the Church’s beliefs and values.” (4)
Future thoughts….
“The meaning of these symbols and ideas and mythologies and images can change very rapidly. So it’s not a crazy idea to think that in a hundred years the Baphomet monument (that the Satanic Temple made as part of their Ten Commandments campaign), that someone could look at that monument and instantly know that the meaning of that monument is not death and torture and destruction and worshiping the devil, but in fact the meaning of that monument is religious pluralism, the importance of embracing blasphemy, and standing up for what is just in the face of extreme opposition. It’s not a crazy idea that that’s what Satan could come to mean in the cultural conversation.” Hail Satan?, – Penny Lane on the statue of Baphomet

Prayer and Chants to Baphomet
Prayers and chants to Baphomet, as a symbol of balance, wisdom, and personal transformation, are typically used in rituals or spiritual workings where the practitioner seeks enlightenment, self-mastery, or deep philosophical insight. Baphomet, historically a deity that appears in occult traditions, is often associated with the Temple of the Knights Templar and more recently with modern Satanism and left-hand path practices. In these traditions, Baphomet is a representation of duality (e.g., male and female, light and dark) and is often invoked for spiritual and personal development.
Here, I will explore some prayers, chants, and ideas for invoking Baphomet in a ritual or spiritual practice. Keep in mind that Baphomet is a complex figure—sometimes seen as a deity, other times as a symbol of personal empowerment or illumination—so these prayers and chants reflect different aspects of his nature.
Before diving into prayers and chants, it’s helpful to know what Baphomet represents:
Duality and Unity: Baphomet embodies the balance of opposites—such as light and dark, male and female, good and evil. This unity of opposites makes Baphomet a powerful figure for spiritual work focused on balance, integration, and self-realization.
Wisdom and Knowledge: Baphomet is also considered a guardian of secret wisdom, knowledge, and higher truth. His associations with esoteric traditions (like Gnosticism and Kabbalah) make him an important figure for those seeking deeper understanding of themselves and the universe.
Transformation: Through Baphomet’s energy, practitioners seek inner alchemy—transforming the self, transcending limitations, and achieving personal enlightenment or empowerment.
General Invocation to Baphomet
An invocation is a form of calling upon a deity or spirit. When invoking Baphomet, you may wish to focus on balance, wisdom, or personal transformation.
Invocation Example:
Baphomet, Lord of the Hidden Light,
I call upon thee, embodiment of balance and knowledge.
Guide me to wisdom, both dark and light,
That I may become whole and free from strife.
With thy horns, I receive the power of transformation,
With thy wings, I transcend limitation.
In your eyes, I see the truth of all things,
And in your form, the unity that life brings.
I stand before you, open and willing,
To embrace the wisdom of all worlds and all beings.
Let me walk in the path of balance and inner sight,
As I seek enlightenment in the day and the night.
So mote it be.
Chants to Baphomet
Chants are often used in ritual to draw the spirit’s attention, creating a rhythmic and focused energy. They are typically repeated several times to invoke the essence of Baphomet. Chants can be simple, focusing on the desired outcome of your work, whether it’s transformation, knowledge, or balance.
Simple Chant to Invoke Baphomet:
Baphomet, guide my way,
Through the night andinto day.
Wisdom, power, transform me now,
In your light, I take my vow.
Baphomet, Lord of Balance true,
I seek your wisdom, to renew.
Dark and light, both intertwined,
Lead me now, and open my mind.
Repeat this chant 7, 9, or 11 times, depending on your spiritual tradition. These numbers are symbolic and potent for creating change or transformation in magical work.
Chant for Balance and Harmony
Baphomet is a symbol of balance, so this chant is useful for when you’re working on inner harmony or resolving conflicts in your life.
Chant Example:
Baphomet, union of all that is,
Balance within, peace is my bliss.
Male and female, dark and light,
Bring me harmony, bring me sight.
Baphomet, in your form, I stand,
A being of balance, in your hand.
Guide meto unity, lead meto peace,
Let all my struggles and conflicts cease.
This chant works best when repeated as a meditative mantra. As you chant, visualize the integration of opposing forces in your life, achieving harmony between them.
Prayers for Knowledge and Self-Transformation
Baphomet is often called upon for wisdom and transformation, especially when a person is seeking spiritual enlightenment or deeper understanding of the mysteries of the self.
Prayer Example:
Baphomet, keeper of the ancient wisdom,
Illuminate my mind, andsetme free.
Through the veils of illusion, letme see,
The mysteries hidden, the truth that isto be.
Grant me the courage to seek andto know,
To journey within, to face my own shadow.
Transform my spirit, as you transform the soul,
Guide meto wholeness, and make me whole.
In your wisdom, I seek to grow,
In your power, I choose to know.
So mote it be.
This prayer can be recited at the beginning of meditation or ritual to open yourself to the wisdom and transformational power of Baphomet.
Dark Light Prayer (For Shadow Work)
Baphomet represents the union of light and darkness, so invoking him can be an excellent way to explore shadow work or confront the hidden aspects of the self.
Shadow Work Prayer:
Baphomet, keeper of the night and day,
Guide me through the shadows that come my way.
Dark and light, both within me reside,
With your wisdom, I will not hide.
Reveal tome the truths I must face,
Help me heal, and find my grace.
In your form, I see my whole being,
Without illusion, without fleeing.
Transform my darkness into light,
Help me make my wrongs become right.
I stand with you, in truth, so bold,
Guide me through the shadowsof my soul.
This prayer can help confront the hidden, repressed, or unconscious parts of the self, allowing for growth and healing through deep inner work.
Closing the Ritual or Prayer
Whenever you perform an invocation or chant to Baphomet, it is important to properly close the ritual, thanking him for his presence and energy. This will ensure that the energy raised during the working is appropriately grounded.
Closing Example:
Baphomet, I thank you for your wisdom and guidance.
Your presence has brought me closer to the balance I seek.
I release you now, with gratitude and respect.
May your wisdom continueto guide meon my path.
So mote it be.
Did French Muslims hide Muhammad in The Baphomet?
Wikipedia shared a theory of the name of Baphomet, was an Old French corruption of the name Muhammad, with the interpretation being that some of the Templars, through their long military occupation of the Outremer, had begun incorporating Islamic ideas into their belief system, and that this was seen and documented by the Inquisitors as heresy. Medieval Christians believed that Muslims were idolatrous and worshipped Muhammad as a god, with mahomet becoming mammet in English, meaning an idol or false god. (2)
I for one, do not believe this to be true, and see this as a christian witchhunt against other religious groups of the time, in this case being Muslims. As with all 3 of these Abrahamic religions, they all demonize opposing ideas and deity.
The Devil does not exist. It is a false name invented by the Black Brothers to imply a Unity in their ignorant muddle of dispersions. A devil who had unity would be a God… ‘The Devil’ is, historically, the God of any people that one personally dislikes… This serpent, SATAN, is not the enemy of Man, but He who made Gods of our race, knowing Good and Evil; He bade ‘Know Thyself!’ and taught Initiation. He is ‘The Devil’ of The Book of Thoth, and His emblem is BAPHOMET, the Androgyne who is the hieroglyph of arcane perfection… He is therefore Life, and Love. But moreover his letter is ayin, the Eye, so that he is Light; and his Zodiacal image is Capricornus, that leaping goat whose attribute is Liberty.

What books or literature do you recommend that someone read to learn more about Baphomet I would like to create you alter to Baphomet and also do you believe that someone can merely work at the energies of Baphomet because this is what I intend to do
To me baphomet is a symbol of the perfectly balanced witch.Nothing in the cosmos left out.Baphomet is a focus point for a witches life as well as ritual. Also Baphomet has become a unity symbol of the left hand path. Also the extra bonus is it scares the hell out of those who would destroy u.Dont cop out about every negative thing said about us.Become their antichrist and use it as a weapon. In the end Baphomet is a symbol of the divine unity as a whole, instead of taking it in, in sections.Blessed Beast
From the ancients- the Goat (an animal found climbing in the mountains) is seen as a symbol of Man striving to reach god (through his building of temples, representing mountains). This is probably why this figure is historically tied to the Freemasons. While am not a Mason, but a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, this is still a powerful symbol to my Brothers. Baphomet represents to me- fertility, ancient alchemy and the Duality (male & female/light & dark) aspects of nature. As a kid, was mesmerized by the sight of the E. Levi’s Baphomet & it’s still a mysterious & mystical image to me today. As above, so below. So mote it be.
Baphomet came to me in a slumber/meditation once, while listening to youtube videos about the founding fathers/illuminati. To me, Baphomet is a very powerful, esoteric beast, symbolizing power and wisdom. He is also a darker creature to me, because he is a creature that is deeply routed in history and mysticism. The founding fathers used Baphomet as symbolism for their knowledge about mysticism and power, and being able to form a foundation for a new country and it’s beliefs, based on that deeply engrained knowledge of esoteric magic and power that went back all the way to ancient egypt. To me, the Baphomet invokes fear in me, however, not terror. Fear that has to do with the bloodshed that has occurred in forming a country of powerful force/masculinity, however, rooted in feminine essence/rooting/grounding. The Baphomet, to no offense, to anyone, is a backwards symbolism of esoteric knowledge, teaching us on a level we can understand, through symbolism, to very deep and dark, levels of light. I hope this comes across to you, in the right way, making sense to you, as I see/feel/understand it/based on my knowledge of it.
To me baphomet means the god of magic or the symbol of magic….
Symbolizing the occult and it meanings… “But baphomet has many meanings”… And one of the meanings are to keep people afraid of the statue/idol, To draw them away from the occult…. But really baphomet is just a symbol… A Symbol of light and darkness, Good And Evil, Love, Power, Wisdom, Knowledge and Etc…. Every part On The baphomet Body has a Different meaning to it….
Baphomet was an abomination to my eyes and soul. I looked upon it with disdain, but at the same time a curiosity. I researched this idol and learned its history and its origins. Once i learned for myself what i felt it was, i was no longer disturbed by it. What others write about Baphomet is the significance to them. For me it is different, hence why we as people are so amazing and special. I do not use Baphomet in any of my spellwork. But i respect what the idol is, what its history was and is to different types of people. And i believe that is the answer to this. It is the individual that must come to terms to what it is for them. Each piece of Baphomet body can be be a learning tool. Male arm and female arm, torch, Pentacle ect, all represent something. In a world that will never accept people who do not follow a certain Christian church, or Islam or any other belief, it seems to me the perfect symbol for being a rebel. The Knights Templar being betrayed by those that it fought to defend (the church) and in turn crucified for heresy. Perfect example how the church can betray us a people. So for me it is a symbol of rebellion against man and the lies therein.
The first time I saw the symbol of Baphomet, when I was in my mid-teens, I was sitting in my school’s library, and exclaimed, out loud, “Way Cool!” Now, low these many, many years later, and after having shared this story with a number of close friends, my response to the symbol of Baphomet remains, “Way Cool!”
For me, Baphomet has always represented the tension required as we balance between the opposing poles of positive and negative, male and female, right and left, up and down, night and day, etc. It’s the tension, oft times the aggravation, which promotes evolution. Our evolution, the planets evolution; everything, in a constant state of contracting and expanding. Baphomet is truly representative of the divine substance, the “Prima Materia” from which all things are made manifest. Baphomet for me, is that “space,” that doorway between the inhalation and the exhalation … not coming nor going, and not a rests, but the eternal “now”.
Likewise, when I use my pendulum, I see Baphomet as that moment when the pendulum reaches the arch of movement in one direction, be it back and forth, or whatever directions it may be moving between, where for one brief and all-encompassing moment, it isn’t swaying back and forth, nor resting, no preparing, but is exemplifying true spiritual balance … what is often referred to in Buddhism as, “Action in Non-Action,” accomplishing without all the fuss.
I could go on, ad nauseam, but let me conclude with this; the torch, burning brightly above Baphomet’s head, and between the horns that allow, that encourage us to embrace life, represents intelligence, enlightened wisdom, without blemish. While it may mean and move me in one direction upon my path, it’s likewise one of Baphomet’s greatest gifts that each and every one find within the symbol, what moves them most, what catapults them forward into engagement with life, all without the stain, and waste of time, of judgment of another, who walks their path alongside and within the divine pleroma of presentation.
Your post is “Way Cool” and thank you for your wisdom Dr. G. As always, I learn something new with our conversations and by your posts. In particular, today I will draw my attention to what you said in conclusion, “the torch, burning brightly above Baphomet’s head, and between the horns that allow, that encourage us to embrace life, represents intelligence, enlightened wisdom, without blemish.” This gift of wisdom and enlightenment offered by Baphomet is overwheleming, so much so that it brings tears of appreciation to my eyes. Thank you again.
For me, also the Baphomet means the perfect combination of “light and dark” “male and female” . I believe The androgynous nature of Baphomet is important to note because the worship of this deity goes back to the Knights Templar, who were the ancestors to modern Freemasonry.
Im Wesley and im 20 i have only been practicing for 7 and a half years and studying as hard as I can with what means I have, but to me the Baphomet means a solid representive of the universe in which we see in a phisical form and its amazing how us humans need this but to me it helps balance my craft whether it be lighter or darker in nature and this symbol physically gives me what I need in order to achive this. I think its beautiful and and amazing thank you black witch coven for being so informative those years ago when pre judgement clouded the truth.
thanks Wesley Main
I have not read the writing about it yet, because I want to say only what is coming to me without any knowledge of it. I often say this about lots of magical items, oils, candles, psychics before they tell me they are psychic like at psychic fairs, and what this means to me is a path outside of physical restrictions, like into another world or something. Ever since I stepped into kindergarten up to today, the schools maybe from first grade, but especially fourth grade up to today, all education levels demand to control my thinking and how I feel, they hide anything I do that don’t fit their words on paper about me. And is why I am so fascinated with magic. To protect my interests, what I like from the ultimate control of the schools. When I look at the statue, I definitely get a feeling, which I will probably meditate to it later. It is an energy, very mysterious to me, and I want to know more about it. Can it give messages like tarot cards?
And thank you Black Witches, for me finding out about Sen Aliases in New Orleans. He certainly is a n ultimate blessing. Talented!
Sen Elias is a talented and genuine conjureman/witch for sure.
Please share with me what you discover as you meditate and connect deeper into the complexities of the Baphomet. I wouldn’t say the Baphomet is as clear as a message from a Tarot or Oracle deck, but perhaps after time, it could be a stronger and more personalized message.
Baphomet is in a figure the aspiration of the aspirant. The goat of the people’s -earthy, hardy, suited to lands- has rested on the middle pillar of the tree and the horn of knowledge has grown upwards to reach the hidden sephiroth. His seat is the world of malkuth but not as a foot stool, for his fleet hooves need no such device. He is symbol of the Astral plane itself, elements of the paths and their corresponding symbols are blended as one token experience. To see a dark shade to the figure is to know the aspirant has become that to which the qilpoth may aspire in turn in ascending the tree. I have to keep the image hidden, for I have no family or friends open minded enough to receive it
Personally I have Always Felt Love, Understanding, Respect,
Admiration with the Thrill Of Excitement for Baphomet.
I’ve always Defended Baphomet and Now I Understand why! * So Exciting!
Baphomet is, to me, a symbol that represents balance of the forces of, well, everything. It is a lot of different ideas wrapped into one symbol. Animal and human, dark and light, above and below, natural and supernatural, male and female, etc
The Baphomet to me is a neutral energy. Neither dark or light. Neither above or below. Neutral.
I feel love off Baphomet. A mass energy of love. I feel protected by Baphomet.
Baphomet to me is beautiful. I see both male and female in Baphomet. Pure elegance and regalness on his throne. Thank you 😉
I admit, I have major curiosities for Baphomet. No, I do not work with him yet or have started. YET. Many times I have seen this image and feel comfortable. After reading the very well written article it brings my understanding to this: he represents a lot of what I live. I’m a total believer in balance in every form in every angle in life. You cannot have dark without light or light without dark, positive without negative, death without life and so on. The pic Savannah posted with him in candle light and a shadow draped on the wall behind him says it all without saying a word 🙂
Baphomet is the achetype of ‘All’ for me…balance being depicted and honored into the One. He gives me the freedom to live in the Light and the Dark and removes judgement from my Witchcraft world. He allows me to walk my LHP with security, support and a with such a primal and carnal drive I have never felt with any other archetype before. Xx
Baphomet is complex astronomical reading and to know to read the message it must be known that is possible only to one who know how works yearly festivals of divination divided in 28 lunar fields. Lets thrive to show how they get symbols of Baphomet
The symbols are from the period Aries and belong to Greek- Roman astronomy combination with lunar believes of Aries period. All Symbols where visible in period Aries from autumn equinox till winter solstice to start our journey we must see the sky as they would, imagine that we are pointed at east while we look sky from the autumn equinox and this is our first station as autumn equinox is time of celebration or Hermes and from this point starts descending to underworld (equinoxes divide the underworld and the light world) Hermes is the biblical Lucifer ( this is why Baphomet have torch above the head) how they they translate Nebo (known the one who enlighten people as he bring the knowledge from the god-he is the planet Mercury) here we star the descending to the underworld next what would we see on night sky is Libra the one who weight our deeds after her we would see Serpentarius constellation which is literally the door of underworld, The Greek or better say Roman put together this 2 constellation (Libra and Serpentarius) into the symbol Libra Victories and this symbol is not known before Greek- Roman astronomy, and this symbol we see in Baphomet. Why name Libra Victories the first part about Libra I already write the second part is because Venus/Ishtar was vent to a underworld without death symbolizing her in art with snake under her feat or in her hand, so the roman name would be translates as victor over the death. Before Aries period the victor over the death was always the woman character but in Greek time it become the male character thats why Baphomet is bipolar. To this group constellation we would see also and Capricorn and his importance rise in time of Aries before Aries he didn’t have some special iconography and to quote Crowly ” and his Zodiacal image is Capricornus, that leaping goat whose attribute is Liberty.” this festival procession would happen from autumn equinox till winter solstice. After that will start astronomical lunar procession which create story “The whore of Babylon” or adultery of Mars and Venus or jewish Lilith myth…. Tee Pentagram is symbol of 5 lucky planet (without Mars and Saturn the planets of war) This is in few words….
To me, Baphomet represents all of the duality that is present within myself. Baphomet reminds me to fully embrace the light and dark inside me and the male/masculine and female/feminine aspects of myself. To me, Baphomet also represents indulgence in the material world instead of abstaining from what can truly make me happy and to further advance my daily life through knowledge, lust and magick.
The aspects of Baphomet make me remember and appreciate that the spiritual and material duality between worlds is always present regardless of whether or not one can see it. Baphomet also reminds me of my love and respect that I have to Satan and the Demons, so when I wear my Baphomet pendant, it is in honor to such deities that I hold so dearly in my heart. It also promotes a sense of protection to myself personally and helps me feel more empowered to live the life that I want.
Baphomet to me is the power of balance. When I see images of Baphomet or wear my Baphomet pendent I feel protected and unstoppable. Baphomet is lust, fearlessness and using force when needed. 🤘🏻
Baphomet to me is power in balance. When I see Baphomet imagery or wear my Baphomet pendent I feel unstoppable. Baphomet is lust, acting on your desires and using force when needed.
To me Baphomet is my link to my dark magickal life and connection to learn and ascend. My link to Father Lucifer and Lord Satan…..a platform inbetween normal and mundane and beautiful dark energy and my inner power…. my flame!
For me,(shortly) Baphomet represents the concept of unity and complexion (male-female; ¨good-evil¨ and everything that is in between these), the ability to see the light in the darkness and to know that only by dwelling in the darkness you can get to the light and know thyself fully. It is the connection and unity between our human and divine side, reminding me to not fear my human side, but accept and embrace it. Also it has the alchemical meaning that we are capable of bettering ourselves through complete acceptance of our nature, embracing and realizing the existance of the elements, bringing them into our lives and finding ourselves in them. Combining the alchemical meaning with the magickal concept, Baphomet reminds me that I have complete ability and inner power to create change.
Baphomet,in simple worlds an evidence of everything to show equality “as above ,so below”. When I believe in doing something I should remember the good without evil and evil without good is not possible.
As baphimet is not 1. a creature, 2.santan,3. Lucifer,4. Demon. It is a real explanation about how things should be see and believe in accept that.
A symbol of everything in this world like air, water, fire, land, sky, creatures, energies, powers etc. With the evidence of this
symbolic wallhanger as witness and support we do the witch play in the reminder of this symbol by Levi’s words.
I say, what you see with meaningful description believe it and experience it with trust.
Baphomet to me is the face of the craft and everything we represent. The origin of baphomet truely signifies as there is power with light, there is also a power without or stating the will of everything to unravel and unify.
Baphomet is to me a symbol of the hidden knowledge and I often call on him/her to help seek that knowledge in my own life. The as above so below resonates strongly with me and is a needed reminder. I also study Hermetics and this is a symbol of that as well (to me anyway).
To me the Baphomet means liberation. It reminds me to seek the knowledge that we have been robbed from birth. Being drilled that Catholic ways are the only way and anyone who challenges it is wrong. The Baphomet reminds me to ignite that flame that Lucifer introduced to us and continue to pursue the truth regardless of social norms. I just recently joined the occult and I have never felt more alive. Ave Satanas!
What books or literature do you recommend that someone read to learn more about Baphomet I would like to create you alter to Baphomet and also do you believe that someone can merely work at the energies of Baphomet because this is what I intend to do
This is my god i want to worship
Hey BWC 😜
Talented!
Hi Kathy,
Sen Elias is a talented and genuine conjureman/witch for sure.
Please share with me what you discover as you meditate and connect deeper into the complexities of the Baphomet. I wouldn’t say the Baphomet is as clear as a message from a Tarot or Oracle deck, but perhaps after time, it could be a stronger and more personalized message.
Blessed Beast!
To me, Baphomet means all-knowing wisdom and represents the balance of light and darkness. Personally, Baphomet gives me peace.
Such a different view point. Thank you for sharing!
To decondition and recondition. Animal/Angel. Darkness/Light. Individualism and free thought!
