Other texts suggest that he is the Egyptian god Anubis [1]. Anubis is said to be a giant standing over 8 feet tall with a stocky build [1]. He is described as having straight blonde hair falling below his ears. His skin is also said to be tanned presumably from Egyptian portrayals (hieroglyphics).

Other Egyptian portrayals of Anubis show him as being jackal-headed and being the guide of the souls of the dead [1]. He is said to assist in matters pertaining to funerals and can offer protection to people who have been recently bereaved [1].

SUMMONING OF IPOS

  • Like all the Goetic Demons, Ipos is indifferent to humanity and must be treated as such. The conjuror must take cognizance of this and respect the demon’s independent will.
  • It is necessary to prepare and I recommend meditation so as to connect with the Higher Power. This is all the more important considering the somewhat unsettling manifestation of this demon.
  • The demon’s sigil must be visible in addition to protective measures against malicious attacks such as the aforementioned Triangle of Solomon and magic triangle.
